Our family of 5 had a great stay at Antonio and his families property. We recommend you stay at their place and enjoy all that Antonio's warm and welcoming approach, accommodation and great pool have to offer. As previous reviewers have stated, Antonio and Luisa's hospitality is amazing. We arrived on a Sunday lunchtime, just as they were sitting down for a meal with their friends. They promptly invited us to join them - and we enjoyed delicious sicilian home-cooked cuisine. The apartment was well furnished, with a well equipped kitchen. Antonio had provided fresh bottled water, milk, croissants and a water melon the size of a beach ball. He went out of his way to make sure we had a good stay, providing excellent advice and lending his beach equipment. The villa is about a mile from the beach and on a main road, so a car is necessary. As another reviewer has mentioned, the beach in Punta Secca is lovely - but you do have to pay €3.50 per day for parking. The beach in Marina di Ragusa is also lovely, and there is plenty of free parking in the Padre Pio parking lot (Antonio can explain where). We will definitely be back. We had a great week staying here. Antonio is a very friendly and kind host and speaks good English. We received a generous amount of food and drink on our arrival, and Antonio invited us to welcome drinks that evening (and ice cream for the kids, which they loved) Antonio even invited us to join him and his family for celebration drinks for his birthday during the week we were there! The apartment is on the first floor of his home (you get your own entrance) and was really clean and tidy. It's on a main road but we soon got used to that and it didn't detract from our enjoyment at all. You get two large bedrooms, a bathroom and a very well equipped kitchen. Outside you have your own patio area with tables and chairs and there's plenty of shade provided. Best of all though is the fantastic pool - our kids absolutely loved using the diving board and the inflatables! You share the pool with the owner, but he hardly used it so it was pretty much ours all the time we were there. The apartment is a few minutes drive from the centre of Marina di Ragusa, which has a good supermarket, plenty of parking, a lovely beach and lots of restaurants. You're also only a 20 minute drive from the beautiful towns of Ragusa Ibla, Modica and Scicli (where Antonio recommended a lovely restaurant and even booked us a table there). There are also plenty of other beaches nearby, all of which had shallow water and were perfect for kids. Our favourite was Punta Secca - another recommendation of Antonio's!

We had a good stay at Antonio's. It's a great base for exploring the area as it's close to the beaches and also to Ragusa and Modica. The apartment was really clean and tidy and the pool was great and the children really appreciated the lilos and pool toys.

We had a fantastic time with Antonio, Luisa and family. Really nice welcome and a beautiful place to discover a very relaxing and enchanting part of Sicily. The pool and the beaches were ideal for our young family.
