We had a fabulous stay at Achla’s. The place is exactly as in the pics, and a little more as it grows on you and you just don’t feel like leaving. Very clean and comfortable. The mesmerizing views of the Trishul and Nanda Devi on a clear day, the chirping of the birds, and the peace of the surrounding woody area, all add to the charm. We stayed for 3 nights and mostly just hiked around along the lovely trails, read our books, and simply absorbed nature. Peaceful area with no crowds and just a couple of basic grocery stores. Achla is a marvelous person and her hospitality is outstanding, as is her simple but delicious food. I’m already planning a longer visit some time.

Spent a week at Achla's place ,time flew..The place is in lap of mother nature with lovely views from various sitouts ,were able to have a look at the mighty himalayas on a clear day..the room with attached pantry , ensuite washroom and lovely sitout is just perfect ..well stocked library added to the experience..Coffee,Achla's dog, most adorable and gentle..loveAchla's hospitality ,ear for detail,warmth and discipline..Her culiniary skills are next level (must try)..thank you Achla for a memorable holiday ,will return soon :)

We stayed at Achla's for 2 nights in cold January. If you are looking for a peaceful, private, comfortable and very clean homely place, then 'Manzar' it is! We woke up to breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges which are directly visible from the rooms. The room has a small kitchenette which we used only to make tea and opted to eat with her. She offered was such warm, healthy and hearty meals which I have promised to try and replicate back home. Despite the cold (I think it went down to 2-3degrees), we were comfortable at night with the quilts and hot water bags provided. The electric blanket was the absolute cherry on the cake. Thanks Achla - hope to back soon to enjoy your haven, food and conversations.

The stay at Achla's Manzar is the most delightful memory of our trip. My son (7 yrs) and I stayed at Manzar for a week in Oct 22. Achla is a phenomenal host and we experienced the same right from the start. She kept in touch and provided valuable inputs right from the booking confirmation. Since we were not traveling by our personal vehicle she guided us the entire route. We were welcomed by Achla and the staff who guided us through the property and the setup of the place ensuring we were well settled within no time. The property is away from the road and accessible by a small, pretty walk. The room, with a small kitchenette and attached bathroom was perfect for both of us. The view from the window and sit out (balcony) was the icing. No words can describe the experience of nature's music and sight of the himalayas together from the guest room. The night view is entirely different with sparkling lights from Almora and the adjoining villages. We had requested for meals during our stay and Achla agreed to provide us breakfast and dinner. Though she had said the meals will be simple, she offered us the best food we could have ever expected away from home. Achla maintains a small library with a variety of books and classic movies which is accessible for the guests. In addition, the property has a beautiful stepped garden to stroll around. Coffee, her pet dog, is gentle with kids and equally playful with the lighthearted. My son and i will always remember the walk (run) with her! There are beautiful trails around the place which can be completed in few hours and lined with comfortable eating joints (cafes). The hospitality and warmth of the host is the most noteworthy part of the stay at Manzar.

Amazing experience at Achla's little heaven: the place in the lap of nature is beautiful and senere, the guestrooms are cosy, spotlessly clean and one never gets tired of the view from the verandah. If you add Achla's hospitality, delicious homemade meals and great conversation, you have an unforgettable stay, that you might not want to share with everyone out there - only with the happy few....
