The Garden House Studio lies 2 mins by car, 25 mins level scenic river walk from the seafront at Lyme Regis. As keen enthusiasts of mid-century design, The Garden House Studio combines vintage furnishings (Day, Jacobsen, Rietveld etc) with modern luxury facilities, creating a clean, simple, cosy environment. It has direct access via a gate to a new wood fired sauna and outdoor shower (£25 lit per session, free for 7+ night stays, to cover logs etc, times booked ahead, April Easter week and August, times subject to availability) The Garden House Studio is a luxury self-catering studio which offers all the comforts two people need for an idyllic retreat to the Jurassic coast, and is a haven of peace and serenity all year round. There is a large living area and a wet room – all cleverly designed to make the best use of space. In the living area is the Yeoman wood burner that, even on the chilliest nights, packs out enough heat to warm the whole studio. Logs are complimentary for your first few fires, the rest an honesty box. Electricity is provided through the sustainable rooftop solar panels, powering everything from the Smart TV (Netflix et al) and top up heating. The fully equipped kitchenette has been fitted with all the essentials, including a 2-burner ceramic hob, combi-microwave oven, and even a dishwasher! Outside on the large private deck are sun loungers, table/chairs and a gas BBQ, and its handy location near the door allows it to be used even in inclement weather. However, in the South West and close to the sea as we are the sunshine hours are more prolific! The king size bed is super comfy and made up with Egyptian cotton sheets. All in all you have everything you need to enjoy an intimate weekend away. Enjoy the foodie delights of the area including award winning Robin Wylde, Lilac, Mark Hix's scenic Oyster and Fish House with sweeping views of Lyme Bay and River Cottage's brilliant HQ and cafe and many delicious eateries on the coast and inland.
