Beautiful setting, right in the middle of the Golden Circle. Beds were comfortable, massive TVs in each room and was great to have kitchen extras like tinfoil etc. Just a few things that future guests should know. The Hot Tub took some getting used to as it is heated via a heat exchange, fed from hot water from the ground. To get the exact temperature is probably impossible for guests. There is also no rubbish bin outside, you will need to drive 5 mins down the road to dispose of it (maybe normal in Iceland but not for all countries). The bedroom blinds could do with upgrading or improving the quality of the curtains. Overall pleasant accommodation and the location is great for the golden circle sights plus the local town of Selfoss is ideal for a quick dinner and has 3 supermarkets.

Erlingur and Ingvar’s home was the perfect place for us to spend our first few days in Iceland! They were helpful, responsive and the house had everything we needed to be comfortable. The washer dryer combo was great for staying on top of laundry for 5. It was pretty cold and extremely windy during our stay, so we weren’t able to use the hot tub, but it was inviting and available for us. Thank you for having us!

We stayed for a couple nights at the start of our trip and it was the perfect place to work remotely as we waited out the weather. Plenty of space and a well equipped kitchen. I’d love to stay here again.

We had the best time staying at this cabin! It was very spacious and clean. It was nice having a full kitchen and the fire place made it so cozy! We will definitely be back again
