自我介绍

I am mom to two fabulous daughters, wife to jewelry designer Kotaro Miyashiro, and friend to many lovely persons across continents. I am a United States Customs Broker, and an international trade compliance and sustainable textiles sourcing specialist. I am a staunch advocate of social justice and environmental responsibility. I am currently transforming into a professor, though, as I now wish to dedicate my energies to helping enrich people's lives. I teach English to Speakers of Other Languages and literacy to teenage and adult students from wonderfully diverse cultural backgrounds. I am also certified in Integrated Clinical Therapy with Tibetan Singing Bowls. I trained with Master Satya Brat, founder of the Academy of Sound Healing in Kolkata, India. My core values are: Quality, integrity and humanity. A native of France, I am fluent in French, and in English, for having lived in NYC for over two decades. I became a United States citizen in 2000. I am friendly, outgoing, tidy, aware and respectful. I love world travel, cultural and performing arts, enjoying nature, dancing, swimming, yoga and Pilates. I am a vegetarian. I cannot live without sunshine, trees, a body of water nearby, kindness and dark chocolate :-D My life motto is: Live in joy, mindfully. Hosting style: Kotaro and I are easy-going, flexible and unobtrusive. We shall ensure your optimal comfort and a highly positive experience as a guest in our house. The kitchen, bathroom, living room and hallways of the floor your bedroom is on are kept pristine, welcoming and relaxing at all times. We will be readily available to provide you with any assistance you might need, be it giving recommendations, directions, advice, holding your luggage before check-in or after check-out, lending you extra items, etc. Otherwise, we will be respectfully out of your way, as you shall be free to come and go explore our fabulous Bay Ridge neighborhood in this city that indeed never sleeps!
