Great cabin, very peaceful yet not too far from Bozeman and other areas. House was exactly as described and the host were very responsive.
We stayed for nearly a month at Christopher’s wonderful cabin. We only needed to head into Bozeman 3 times for provisions as we literally had all we could ever want or need at the property. Beautiful hikes on the 21 acres. Other amazing hikes just a few minutes’ drive away. Our second night there we had a 13 inch snowstorm, and Christopher was there in it with a snowblower clearing a path for us. We were there for the solitude as I painted and V worked on her newest novel, and Christopher was respectful of that. We befriended the deer in the area and often took our morning coffee on the deck with a buck and his does just steps away. Highly recommended host and setting for an authentic Montana experience.
We had a great time staying at the 5Firs cabin. It was in a beautiful and private area. The commute to Bozeman was about 35min, but worth the trouble to stay at this cozy little cabin.

Some of my greatest joys revolve around wild places. I love the marvels of the innate beauty and complexity of nature and find solace there from the built world around us. The seemingly simple aesthetic of Mother Nature instills appreciation in me for humankinds creativity and innovation to manifest those aspects of the natural world we find so pleasing on a primal level into our daily civilized life. Sharing those very same senses with other people and cultures has instilled a love of travel and adventure in me. It is as if adventure is as a dictionary, helping me to define what it is that empowers us to experience the wonderous reality that comes around the next bend in the trail, the new day in a new place.
