Fossé · 整套乡村小屋 · 2室2床1.0卫 · 可住3人 · La Bergerie - Moulin de Perle
A charming detached barn has two private terraces surrounded by our gardens attracting wildlife. La Bergerie has one double, one single bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and large open plan living area with woodburner. The bathroom has shower. Ancient watermill has been sympathetically converted into three recently updated comfortable self - contained gites offering home from home accommodation. Standing in 4 acres of meadows clothed with wild orchids in Spring, colourful butterflies and soaring buzzards, bordered by a tranquil stream known as the babbling brook which is ideal for paddling on a hot summers day.
Beau logement situé à côté d'un ancien moulin. Un endroit calme et charmant, entouré de forêt avec la rivière en dessous, magnifique.
Kate is a fantastic host, very responsive, helpful and kind. The gite is very cute, an old converted stable. Very cosy and peaceful with a lovely log fire… exactly what we were looking for. The only issue we had was that we could not connect to WiFi. Everything else was perfect though. Highly recommend it.
Lovely few days spent here. Kate was a wonderful host and gave us some really fun local ideas on things we could do even with a baby. Accommodation ration was small and compact but we had all we needed. It is also situated in its own mini valley with river which was fun to play in.
Moulin de Perle is situated midway between two small villages. A plan d'eau, mini golf and tennis court are located in Le Vivier only 10 minutes walk and the quaint village of Fosse with its free open air swimming pool (summer only) and tennis court is 5 minutes walking distance in the opposite direction. Several bars/restaurants providing anything from a quick snack to a gourmet meal, a general store, bakery, butcher and tabac are located in Caudies 10 minutes drive and the larger village of St Paul 20 minutes drive offers several restaurants, banks, petrol stations, bakery, butcher, tabac and a medium sized Carrefour supermarket.
Within an hour you can visit the thermal baths at Rennes les Bains an example of the Roman architectural finesse. Climb one of the largest Cathar castles - Peyrepetuse for incredible views of the region. Descend the Gorge de Galamus at St Paul to Ermitage de St Antoine built into the rock side and swim in the beautiful plunge pools below. Admire Mount Canigou the sacred mountain of Catalan people that dominates the Eastern Pyrenees. Visit the larger town of Perpignan with its museums, cathedrals and extensive shopping areas or spend the day at one of the Mediterranean Beaches/Coves for a day lazing in the sun to name just a few.
