This was my worst Airbnb experience that our family has ever had. After our long intl flight we booked but the unit was UNAVAILABLE & our family of four and our luggage’s had to ride up and down the cold highway at night as the air is very cold in The Gambia at night.. looking for the apartment and the person in the country with the key. The host explained he was in the UK and because I booked last minute that he wasn’t available after we went back and forth for sometime. Host blames me for booking at night with him as he wasn’t ready..Host was very uncaring and rude via the app and on the phone which included bad language. He then told me to drive across town with my driver and 3 elderly people, to a hotel in Cape Point. That was not possible for us as the driver had to go and and we were basically stranded! We then were scared to rebook another place as this host tried to blame me for booking at night. So we booked a close hotel so we could rest and let our driver go as it’s late.

We had a fantastic stay! Spacious and very clean apartment. Great location as well: the beach is only 50 meters away, next to the main road, a supermarket downstairs. Electricity and water where always available, good WiFi and a washing machine were nice extras. My favourite place to stay up to now.

Big apartment. Clean. Near the smiling coast. We had a great stay.
