Romainville is a pretty cute little town, it's very quiet and charming, it's near Paris, in a quiet and safe neighborhood. All services nearby: Supermarket, Bakery (which has won an award), Pharmacy & Cinema, Tobacco.
It's very nice to step back and relax from the crowded city and it's close enough to see all the main attraction. Grocery store, restaurants, etc are way cheaper than in Paris wich is also a good part :-) There is also a fresh market 3 times a week.

The closest subway station is Line 11 at "Mairie des Lilas" (accessible by walk 18 minutes or by bus within 10 minutes) serves the heart of Paris in 15 minutes ( Belleville, Republique, Hotel de ville, Chatelet.. )
Eiffel tower by public transport = 1h
Versailles by public transport = 1h20
Disneyland Paris is 35 minutes by car and 1h15 by public transport.

If you are coming from A3 highway exit Romainville.
From the périphérique, exit at porte des Lilas or porte de Bagnolet.

Subway Line 11 stop at « Mairie des lilas », then bus 105 or 129 until « Carnot » station.
Subway Line 3 stop at Galieni, then bus 318 until "Gabriel Husson" station.
