This newly remodeled property has one of the most spacious lakefront areas with lots of privacy to enjoy all the lake has to offer, plus it's central to many of the tourist attractions on the Olympic Peninsula. You'll enjoy one of the best views of Lake Sutherland with water reflections of the sky and mountains that people dream of! This comfortable 1696 sq.ft. (158 m2) lakehouse on a 8276 sq.ft. (770 m2) lot is an idyllic setting for your next getaway! Lake Sutherland is one of the most scenic lakes in Washington with clear water, recreational sports, and the best kokanee salmon fishing anywhere! The 351-acre lake of glacial origins is surrounded by private homes and vacation cottages and is less crowded due to the limited public access. This home is located near the tip of Poulsen Point on the far west-side of the lake with an amazing view down most of the lake and features Starlink internet! ✩ REMODELING ✩ The house is currently being remodeled and will be completed by May 2024, at which time there will be new photos of the entire inside. Expect new laminate flooring throughout the main and top floors, a brand new kitchen, updated bathrooms, and a fresh interior paint job. ✩ THE HOUSE ✩ The front door leads you into the main floor of the home which consists of the kitchen, dinette, dining room, living room, primary bedroom, and full bathroom. Two outdoor decks, a grass backyard, and a large L-shaped dock give you the full lake-front experience with lots of outdoor seating, swings, and a fire pit. The upstairs area features two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom between them, with a walkway to the upstairs walking deck, from which you can also enjoy the panoramic views of water, mountains, and sky. From the main floor you can take the stairs down to the spacious unfinished basement, from which you can access the outside area, as well as grab any of the lake gear available to guests. ✩ BEDROOMS ✩ All 3 bedrooms have King-sized beds and are themed for a unique & fun experience: The Puget Sound Room is the primary bedroom on the main floor and features vibrant pastel colors, a large mirrored closet, a leather recliner, huge dresser, nightstands, and beautiful art from the region. It connects to the main floor bathroom, which also connects to the hallway by front door and laundry (two-door access serving as both primary and main floor bathroom). The Safari Room is the first, smaller bedroom upstairs and features a black, beige & white savanna theme with zebra art, rattan furniture, a giraffe statue, and that feeling of being on an African expedition. The window faces north and gets a lot of sunshine, really capturing that open canopy the grasslands are known for. The Retro Room is the second, larger bedroom upstairs and features an 80's theme with a vinyl records headboard wall, Patrick Nagel art, a neon light, colorful furnishings, and a sitting area with comfortable butterfly chairs on a vivid geometric print rug. Enjoy a blast from the past in this darker, south-facing room with a forest view. ✩ LIVING ROOM ✩ Relax to the breathtaking lake view from the open floor plan living room that is set up for comfort with two black leather couches and an LG 65” Smart TV to watch your favorite programs using your own Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Prime, Sling, and/or YouTube logins. Enjoy the wood burning stove in the corner during the cooler months with plenty of firewood available. ✩ DINING ROOM ✩ The dining room seats 6 on plushy chairs and features two pull-out leaves for a more spacious dining experience, all while enjoying the panoramic views of the lake! The dining hutch stores wine glasses, placemats, cloth napkins, and trivets available for use. ✩ KITCHEN ✩ Prepare delicious meals in the fully-stocked kitchen equipped with various appliances, all while catching glimpses of the stunning lake, or take a seat at the 2-person dinette by the window to get some quick work done before enjoying all the amenities being lakeside offers. ✩ DECKS & DOCK ✩ This lake-front home features two decks and a large dock, as well as a large grass backyard. The spacious balcony deck is just outside the dining and living rooms with an incredible lake view, featuring tables, a swing, and a zero-gravity lounger. Take the outside stairs down to the grassy backyard with a covered swing and comfortable chairs to relax in. Soak in the sun on the huge lower deck which features another covered swing and a table with chairs and an umbrella for shade, or warm up next to the stone fire pit with bench seating. Walk down to the L-shaped dock for additional lake-front seating, or jump into the lake for a refreshing soak. The dock has room to tie down a jet ski or small boat. You can also launch kayaks, paddleboards, and floaties at the shallow lake entrance to the left of the lower dock or from the dock. ✩ WATER SPORTS ✩ There are two kayaks, two paddleboards, and various floaties available for use at your own risk. There is a manual pump as well as a 12V electric pump available to inflate the paddleboards. Please bring your own life vests/PFD's to ensure proper sizing, though there are a few available in the basement (mostly kid sizes). If you are bringing your own water crafts, please follow proper boat safety and use the public boat launch across the lake at Snug Harbor. There is no boat launch at the property, nor is the one-lane private road ideal for trailers. ✩ THE LAKE ✩ Lake Sutherland is known for its crystal clear water and stunning views of the surrounding Olympic Mountains and is generally warmer than neighboring Lake Crescent, mainly due to being much shallower with a maximum depth of 145 feet. Recreational water activities are popular here, including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, boating, sailing, water skiing, tubing, jet skiing, and floating. Fishing is also quite popular as Lake Sutherland is a premier kokanee sockeye salmon fishery, as well as a good supply of cutthroat and rainbow trout. ✩ NEARBY ATTRACTIONS ✩ This is the perfect home base for a vacation on the Olympic Peninsula as it is central to the Olympic National Park, Hurricane Ridge, Port Angeles, Sequim, Dungeness Spit, Forks, La Push, Cape Flattery, Neah Bay, Hoh Rainforest, Quinault Rainforest, Kalaloch Beaches (Tree of Life), Ozette Triangle, and even Vancouver Island (via Black Ball ferry line). There are four waterfalls within an hour's proximity (Sol Duc, Marymere, Madison Creek, and Beaver Falls), plus you can enjoy a relaxing thermal soak in Sol Duc Hotsprings only 40 minutes away. The Olympic Peninsula is a haven for hikers, cycling, nature lovers, bird watchers, beachcombers, and even golfers, with more amenities and must-see spots than you can imagine! If you love water sports, are just looking to relax, or love to explore, this is the place to be. ✩ STARLINK INTERNET ✩ If you're considering doing some remote work while at the lake, this home features Starlink internet, which is overall working great with no latency. There are some occasions that the internet goes out for up to 20 seconds while locating the next satellite, which mainly only impacts video calls, so please keep that in mind. Phone reception is also good overall, though there can be occasional dead air during a call. ✩ CONGRATULATIONS ✩ Thanks for reading the whole listing! Please incorporate the words "Granny's Cafe" into your booking request or inquiry to show your host that you read this whole listing. It's a great way for me to know that you read the entire description and understand the rules. Studies show that if you know what to expect you will have a better experience and that's a win-win for both parties! Granny's Cafe is a fantastic breakfast and coffee shop 7 minutes drive from the house.

This is a private and overall quiet lakefront neighborhood that is centered around water activities including jet skiing, water skiing, boating, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, tubing, and swimming. Please follow the boating rules (see Clallam County Codes, specifically 15.04.130 for boating and water safety). Absolutely no parties!!!
Poulsen Point is a private dead-end road with limited capacity to turn around. If you are arriving with a trailer, please be sure you know how to turn around on a tight road using the driveway without damaging the property. There is room to park across from driveway for additional vehicles and trailer.

I'm a semi-retired nature lover that moved to Bellingham a few years ago and absolutely love living in the Pacific Northwest surrounded by nature and water! I love to travel and have visited around 15 countries and 17 US states, plus I take my camper van on trips often with my adorable adventure cat named Maverick. I rent out my home (room/whole) and a house on Lake Sutherland, so others can experience the relaxing nature of PNW living!
