Hello my dear guests, The host is Encarna, (me ;-)) a 52 year’s old woman based and Valencia (Spain), who has spent almost 20 of her years, living abroad, UK, France and Germany, and has worked in US, Tunisia, South Africa, Denmark, ...many beautiful places where perhaps you are sitting now. She works at home; home being a very beautiful and spacious house from the 18th century that she acquired 4 years ago with all the life savings, with the view to make the rest of her life a place to live in peace and harmony with her many pets. Yes, this house was a fall in love moment, crazy lady she is, when she said to the old landlords, 'I'll buy this place', and she still did not have any mortgage organised to ensure the offer could be satisfied. Some shortness on the first years and now, she seems to have overcome the most critical time. This house has ceilings of about 4-5 meters high, so when now I say to you, she works in the 2nd floor, I can tell you, she gets up with a little bit of effort. In this floor is where she works, for a travel company. The floor has her office and relaxing open space with a fireplace, where in the winter days, she lays down to read or gets some work done knitting or sewing. On the first floor she has placed the private rooms; there is a main bedroom, with a window and beautiful balcony overlooking the church plaza. Then there is the summer bedroom, the one she uses to get a nice rest in the hot summer nights, a room that looks over her patio and gives her the smell of all the numerous plants she has, lavender, jazzmen, citronella...oh, she is a dreamer, one can tell. And last, she has in that floor, the main bathroom, and large room with a tub bath that allows her to open and close her eyes, while bathing, and look at the village mountains and the plants in the patio, because, if we were to say we have a room with a view, that is her main bathroom. Downstairs, a place that you will see when visiting her, has the astonishing character of one of those majestic rural houses. The previous owners were a rich family from the village, who had not spared a penny in building with rich woods and high stones walls. The door opening to the house has hand drawings, is approximately 4-5 metres tall and 3 metres wide and I don't know what the weight is, but surely impressive. The main hall has a beautiful lily flower design flooring, in green, red and dark yellow. This is an open space leading you to the patio, the life of the summer, and the door to your private house, a little bit like Alice in Wonderland. The patio is a fresh and green area at centre of the house with trees, magnificent ferns and a big table at the fore end, to host meals with the light of the candles. You will access your private sweet home from there. There is a glass door opening to your private space. Why did she create that space? Well, it is a sort magic space, secluded from the busyness of the world, in harmony with the plants and animals that she loves so much. When you enter it, you just hear the silence, or the birds, or as I heard her saying today, the music of the rain with the light of the fire. It was a space she wanted to make special, to be a place where someone, like you, could escape from the crazy world of business and rapidity and sit quietly with a book and a nice cup of tea, or simply, stair through the big window to the blue sky opening above the celling. The result was, Blue Magic, a living space to disconnect, to be with yourself, to feel the love around that was put in the creation moment.
