Bigfork, · 帐篷 · 1室1床0.5卫 · 可住2人 · Double Decker Tent | Hammocks | Flathead Lake
One of the first double decker tents to hit American soil! This amazing lofted space was a Kickstart project out of South Korea and we knew it would be a great experience for our guests! Everyone loves a good hammock. But, have you slept in an elevated tent? Simple, rare, cushy and cozy. Not for the faint of heart. You must be the outdoorsy type. If that's you, prepare yourself for an experience. Fresh sleeping bags can be added for $10 (with advance notice). Porta John on site. No shower. » . . . . . WHAT: This elevated tent cool and cozy with private hammocks beneath is located among a small plot of shared woods. The deer roam frequently. The sleeping surface is a thick, breathable rubber mesh platform. Please keep weight limit to under 500 pounds. Bring your own linens or you may choose to pay $10 additional for freshly washed sleeping bags as well. The tent is sanitized and disinfected after every use. Please let us know at time of booking or with 24 hours notice if you would like sleeping bags. 🌳 🦌 🛌 Please note: Yes, there are other guests around. Private lake access is just a short stroll away ( ~3-minute walk), while food and entertainment abound around the area! The land is raw (undeveloped). What you are paying for is a cozy, safe place to rest, a porta-John (no shower) and PRIVATE LAKE ACCESS. :) If you need air conditioner or real bathrooms, please stay in one of our other cabins that has these amenities. Flathead Lake access is very hard to find, unless visiting a state park. Please take this into consideration when booking with us. Read below for bathroom setup. 🚽 » . . . . . WHERE: Located next to Flathead Lake Resort, a property that was built in the 1940's and is part of a calm lakeside community in Woods Bay (Bigfork, Montana). We are located 45 minutes south of GLACIER NATIONAL PARK. Be sure to view the "Where you’ll be" section located UNDER the MAP on this listing. 👀 » . . . . . ACCESS: Located on Highway 35, you will have quick and easy access to get anywhere you want to be. Because of our ideal location, there is some road noise early in the morning (~6am) into the early evening (sleeping hours are quiet). 🚗 🛻 » . . . . . We want you to be happy and enjoy your time. If you book with us and decide this is not the setup for you, we trust our review will not be degraded over this matter. 👌
While the tent is very nice and the sleeping bags are clean, the location is open to a busy road that is VERY close to multiple other campsites. No privacy whatsoever. Otherwise, Britain was very quick to communicate and provide us with what we needed. However, we didn’t end up staying the night after seeing how close it was to others.
Well, the cozy tan was a little hard to locate. The beach access and responsive host was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend. Keep the expectations as camping though.
We LOVE our neighborhood!! We are located in a quaint and quirky community that dates back to the 1940s. We love our neighbors and we love the vibe of our 70 year old neighborhood. We're not fancy, but we're fun! You will see vintage cars, boats and tractors around. Neighborhood animals may be out. The area is very safe.
We are located just off Highway 35, which runs along the BEAUTIFUL, scenic drive on the east shore of Flathead Lake. There will be road noise during the day, but that's the best time of day to hike and swim, so you may not notice the noise anyways. :) Please be aware of this.
From our location, you will find:
» . . . . . A local wine bar serving small plates | Across the street 🍷
» . . . . . Flathead Lake beach access | ~ 3 min walk 🏖️
» . . . . . 5+ eateries offering live music | Within 0.5 mile 🎶
» . . . . . Lake side bar serving pizza and live music | 1 mile around the bay 🍕
» . . . . . Downtown Bigfork for food and shopping | 8 min north 🛍️
» . . . . . GLACIER NATIONAL PARK | 45 minutes north 🐻
A personal car is recommended. Uber and Lyft are available for drop off FROM Kalispell, but NOT for pickup in Bigfork. You may also contact Venture Shuttles located in Bigfork for airport/other pickup/drop off locations. 🚙
Shared rides and shuttles are hard to find and very expense (~$80 - ~$120 one way) to/from our area. 💰
Or, rent a paddle board to scoot around to different bars/restaurants in the area. 🏄♀️ 🛶
自我介绍
Hi y’all! Great to meet you! I’m Brittain and I’m born and raised right here in the great city of Kansas City, MISSOURI! Go Royals! Fun fact: Did you know there is a KC, KS and a KC, MO? And, more than “cowtown” and “fly over country” we are known here as the “Paris of the Plains”, “City of Fountains” and “BBQ Capital of the World” just to name a few. So, we’re not all corn fields around here. We’ve actually got some pretty cool stuff goin’ on! More about me. I absolutely love travel!! I’ve been to 40 states and 20+ countries on 5 continents and recently completed a 6 week, 4 country, 4 continent tour that was featured as “Brittain’s World” on the Dave Ramsey Show. Search “Brittain’s World” on YouTube to see. :) "You've achieved success in your field when you don't know whether what you're doing is work or play." -W.B. This is a motto I strive to live by and one reason why I’m working hard to open KC’s first hostel. Think of it as “a social hotel” where you meet awesome folks from around the world and get to explore a great city with newfound friends while staying in a magnificent space at a price that affords you the opportunity to spend your hard earned money on other things, like food and entertainment instead of an overpriced bed with no amenities. Doesn’t that sound marvelous? I have a WHY; my purpose in life. That purpose is to inspire and give hope to the people of Jamaica, Caribbean and other developing countries. In ‘99, I experienced my first mission trip to the third world and it forever changed my purpose and focus in life. I have continued these missions almost every year, each time building upon the foundation that would eventually lead to “my WHY”. Hostel KC is part of that “why” with its purposeful mission to give back to the people of the Caribbean. Thus, it is my goal to cultivate a ‘for purpose’ community of awesome travelers and to do so by connecting the ‘do gooders’ of the world by raising cultural awareness through travel. I’m a mega foodie and can’t stand chains!! Organic and farm-to-tables rock my world! I love me a nice organic burger, but don’t worry - if you’re a vegan, I’m all for that too! I’ll get you to the right spots and may even join you for the Jack BBQ Sandwich! :) Support local! If you’re visiting KC, I’ll be sure you go home with some great gifts. If I’m traveling, I return the favor and BUY LOCAL! I’m my own kind of nerd. Not really sure what this means...maybe it’s the awesome books stacked up around my home or the fact that I still watch “Saved by the Bell” at breakfast. #NoShame Urban Cowgirl kind of describes my sense of being. I love the city life, but yearn for those quiet visits to the countryside. And life would never be complete without my horses. So, if you’re coming to stay at itty bitty, I welcome you and look forward to meeting you and chatting about whatever the moment brings. If you’re hosting me, thank you for opening your doors and providing me a place to stay and explore your city. Cheers and happy traveling!
