Had a great first family vacation here for the week! The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. The house was stocked well and had more than we needed. Hosts were helpful and friendly. Thanks for a great vacation at your awesome riverside cabin!!
My boyfriend and I rented this cabin with his brother and girlfriend for almost a week and it was the most peaceful stay we’ve had in a while. Very cozy indoors and outdoors! HIGHLY recommend sleeping with the windows in your bedroom cracked(they have screens) to hear the running water outside. So lovely to fall asleep to! Also loved the cafe Artisun about 20 minutes from the cabin! Would definitely revisit!
Everything was perfect, truly our best stay ever! Beautiful and relaxing and everything we needed. Can’t wait to return! Thank you for everything!
Pond Curve Way is a small neighborhood well off the main drag located along the French Broad River. It's mostly made up of cabins and a small assortment of large RVs. The area is secluded and quiet... only resident traffic passing the cabin. Neighbors are friendly and helpful if need be... but respect each other's privacy.
The access road in front of the cabin extends the length of the development approximately one mile long...good for a peaceful morning walk.
Del Rio, TN is the real life setting for the fictional story of Christy Mission. "Christy" a famous novel by Catherine Marshall was set in the fictional Appalachian village of Cutter Gap, Tennessee, in 1912. The novel was inspired by the real adventures of her own mother, Leonora Whitaker, who trekked to the remote Appalachian Mountain region, as a young single adult, to teach the impoverished children of the area. The book was later transformed into an extremely popular television series by the same name. You'll find a copy of the book in the cabin along with other interesting reading material regarding the history of Hot Springs, NC. Be sure to visit the Hot Springs visitor center.
Enjoy your stay...it's a magical place!
