Positives: very close to town centre, easy parking. Comfortable bedrooms, clean bedding, nice living room and comfy sofas. Shower and Wi-if good. For the price it’s a decent Airbnb - until we walked into the kitchen. The kitchen let the Airbnb down. The oven, hob and bin were not clean, dried food and solidified fat. The fridge/ freezer was full of food, including open meat, coleslaw, salad, cheese, milk. The Kitchen light needed a clean it had dead flies on it. Only 3 dinner plates (one of which is chipped), only 5 forks. Hopefully this was a one off. We did contact the owner who assured us they would get things cleaned. Kitchen has a lovely kettle, toaster and microwave. Tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits. There was an iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner. There wasn’t enough towels for 5 people (1 between 2 people) No hand soap anywhere in the house. One small mirror in the bathroom. No broom or dustpan. Would we stay here again? If the kitchen was deep cleaned, maybe.
Key code to get in was incorrect however responsive host when contacted. Very comfy beds but very light in 2 of the rooms, would benefit from a set of curtains over the blind in one & a darker blind for top bedroom skylight. More seating in lounge needed, only 1 x 3 seater sofa for 6 people, had to use dining chairs. Overall fit our purpose, would be great with the few tweaks mentioned.
we needed to be near family for new year the house was perfect roomy, comfortable and extremely warm and cosy
House was fine but basic, lacked homely feel. Bedrooms were clean and well presented but only one had hanging space for clothing. Crockery was lacking for the number of people staying, only two dinner plates. Not a problem for me as I was on my own. Overall the house was bright and clean, Ray was very helpful and replied to texts promptly. I may book again if issues were addressed.
