This is a lovely home. The location is fantastic. Walked to shopping, restaurants and attractions. The home is clean and exactly as shown in photos. We felt right at home. We parked on the street which was very easy. Also the parking apps are very easy to use. Note that the stairs in the home are very steep. Not at all an issue for us but could be for others. Brynhildur was extremely communicative and explained everything in great detail. We had no problems. I hope to have a chance to visit Iceland again and wouldn’t hesitate to return to this home (and the bakery across the street!!). Highly recommend Brynhildur’s home.

We are so thankful for an incredible stay. You can’t beat the location and the proximity to beautiful sites, great coffee and local bakery, and even a local swimming pool. Brynhildur was highly responsive and gave us great local tips. Beautiful place and we would stay again.

If you are looking for a place in downtown Reykjavik, look no further! Brynhildur’s place is right in the heart of downtown and close to the Hallgrimskirkja for any tour bus pickups you need (it is about a 4 minute walk). There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Be sure to stop by Braud for some of their famous croissants (we went every day!). The only things to keep in mind are that there are many (spiral) stairs to this property and the bathroom isn’t easily accessible if you aren’t able to climb stairs. You will need to go up one level to enter the main space (with the kitchen, living space and one of the bedrooms). A second flight of stairs will take you to another bedroom and the sole bathroom. If you are physically disabled or traveling with the elderly, getting into the bath/shower combo will be a challenge. The bath has a very steep step over and will be hard to get in and out of. We absolutely adored Brynhildur’s place and would definitely stay here again!
