Pelgulinn:
Most of the neighborhood is made of historical wooden houses and it’s under protection of city municipality for conserving it’s unique village like environment. The name Pelgulinn literally means a “refuge city” as it was originally built for people migrating in the early 20th century from the countryside to the city and the goal was to give them a peaceful countryside like environment inside the capital city.

Location:
A very trendy neighborhood as it is walking distance close to most of places to visit while exceptionally green and quiet. It’s 5 minutes’ walk from Tallinn’s hyped Telliskivi area with all it’s bars, restaurants, art venues, coffee shops; 15 minutes’ walk or 3 minutes drive to the Old Town, 25 minutes’ walk or 5 minutes ride to the westside sunset looking sandy beach of Stroomi or the Port of Noblessner on a northside looking coastline. 200 m away is Tallinn’s best pizzeria Kaja, grocery shop 400 m and most coffee places start from 500 m from home. The area is well connected as bus stop is one minute walk away, tramway and train stations 10 minutes’ walk away or you can just grab a taxi (recommended Bolt taxi app) taking you with 3-5 eur anywhere in downtown area or grab one of many self-service rental cars / electric scooters / bicycles (example Bolt app) that are found anywhere on our streets. Parking on the street in front of the building is for free. Airport and harbor are 15 minutes by car or half an hour with public transport.
