Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Escape from the pressures of everyday life. Come to our retreat in SW Virginia. The backyard is private and wooded. This is the perfect place for a secluded get-away. Just the thing for a romantic interlude or family vacation. Both Sides Now is located in Grayson County within a mile from the Riverside Boat Landing for those who canoe or kayak. We are centrally located to festivals, hiking, the Blue Ridge Music Center and more. 2 bedrooms: bedroom 1 has a queen bed, bedroom 2 has a full bed. The master bathroom has his/her sinks and the guest bathroom has tub/shower and toilet. The living room sofa pulls out to a queen size bed. The kitchen is fully stocked with silverware, a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, blender, Keurig and drip coffee maker. We have a laundry room with washer and dryer. Each room has a theme: The living room is music and the instruments on the wall are characteristic of The Crooked Road. If you can play guitar, mandolin, banjo or violin (filddle) give it a try. The guest bedroom is a love theme, and the kitchen is apples and the master bedroom theme is Americana.

Both Sides Now was an amazing place to stay. It was quiet, peaceful and had beautiful views. Gretchen was a great host. Thank you for the mugs & cinnamon rolls! We would love to visit again!
We stayed at Both Sides Now for Thanksgiving and we're so lucky to find Gretchen! We had a wonderful and comfortable stay, humans and puppies alike. Gretchen was very proactive and engaging from the moment we booked. She was even so kind to drop off a slow cooker the morning of Thanksgiving for us to use! Gretchen really went above and beyond leaving us a handwritten note with a care package when we arrived (again, for humans and puppies alike!). We definitely plan on staying at Both Sides Now next time we are in town.
Gretchen was extremely responsive, very kind and thought of absolutely everything! She even gifted us with mugs, cinnamon rolls, and had various snacks and waters for us and our pup! The property was gorgeous, and we wanted for nothing! It was awesome!
Me and my family had a wonderful visit. Gretchen’s place was perfect. It was quiet, peaceful, clean, comfortable. We enjoyed the big porch and back deck. We even snipped some chives we used in our breakfast.
Gretchen is a superb host, and her hospitality is top notch. The house is beautiful, private, and she has carefully thought of every little detail. Gretchen is extremely helpful, very friendly, and the house is clearly well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend retreat and look forward to returning. With as many trips that we've taken over the years, between hotels and Airbnb, we felt most at home at Both Sides Now, and hands down one of our favorite stays!

Both Sides Now has a 3 car garage. The best bay for parking is bay #2.
