Dare I say it, Charl’s place was even better than the photos. The large garden is luscious whilst homely, and a great place to unwind and destress after a busy day. The dogs on the property were so friendly and well behaved, if you’re a dog person you’ll fit right in. Charl and Nelly went out of their way to be hospitable, making the place a real hidden gem. Overall, the whole property has a sense of thoughtfulness that we continued to encounter throughout our stay. We’d definitely stay there again.

Charl’s place is lovely, peaceful, quiet and feels secure. I stayed there with my family and we felt right at home. The beds for both bedrooms were nice & comfortable. Charl was friendly and communicated effectively.

We read great reviews of Charl's place, we didnt anticipate falling in love. I traveled from outside South Africa with my two children, aged 8 and 12 years. Security was paramount for us, and Charl's spot not only met but exceeded our expectations in this regard. We left our apartment door unlocked one afternoon, only to return to find everything exactly as we left it. However, the real charmers were Dwelling and Bentley, the furry, four-legged residents who welcomed us with affection and warmth, making it incredibly difficult to bid farewell to this hidden gem. The children explored the garden, pool, swings and adventures to uncover the tortoise. Charl went out of his way to involve my child in feeding both the tortoise and the dogs, creating unforgettable memories for all of us. Faced with a late flight departure, our bags were securely stored while we wrapped up our final activities and relaxed in the communal lounge and kitchen. Without a doubt, we will be back :)

Charl is the perfect host: accomodating, caring and pleasant at communication - we would have loved to spend more time at his place. Beautiful property & wonderful building + bonus: friendly and well behaved dogs and tortoises! ♡ Staying here was a holiday in itself. Can recommend 100%.
