Do not book this. The tiny tiny houseboat is moored illegally, tied with string onto trees. Very hard to find. You have to drive across a big muddy paddock to get there. Then climb over sand dunes. Very dangerous. The code for the door padlock didn’t work. Rang host who said that he would come and assist entry and never showed up. The area is in a dangerous area with no lighting. I can’t speak to the inside of the house boat because I was not able to get into it. Still waiting for a refund.

The outlook onto the sandbar and the sheltered calm waters were fantastic to explore with the provided kayak, my pup loved the instant swimming location, the houseboat provided us a calm and overall relaxed time away from the bustle of the gold coast. The Helicopters during business hours were not unpleasant in that you could watch the terrified tourist faces as they flew above during takeoff... Watching the plethora of bird life on the waters edge was serene and only complimented by the armys of soldier crabs at low tide during the sunset. The host was diligent in showing me the procedures required for 12v, and self contained living requirements. We would highly recommend this stay for the unique off grid lifestyle experience. It's an incredible experience that everyone should live. The place is impressive and has some of the best views for sunset I've ever seen. The host is very attentive and explains everything perfectly. We will definitely come back
