Found a used band-aid in bathroom. Dishes were dirty. Shoe-prints all over the home. Previous guests had thrown food under the sofa etc. When we confronted the owner, he admitted that the house wasn’t 100% clean. AirBnB should consider delisting this property.
A great quaint place, perfect for relaxing time away from the hustle of the city, just good location, private and beautiful…best parts the ocean sounds, access to the beach and kangaroos in the backyard 😍
Seashells at Long Beach is a lovely house in a very peaceful and beautiful spot. You can see the sea over the dune from the deck and hear the waves at night. Very relaxing! Just out the front gate is a lawn leading to the track to the beach, which as the name suggests is long and pristine. You can walk up to the end of the beach on a mowed track then back on the beach with many tracks off it. It wasn't quite warm enough for us to swim, but just being on the beach is good for the soul. The street is quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom, living room and kitchen had everything we needed, also a large screen TV. I'd be very happy to go back there!

Given the positive reviews for this property and host, not sure what went wrong. Booked 24 hours in advance and received no communications until 35 mins after check in time. The house was excessively dirty and had not been cleaned since someone stayed in it last. Beds were used and dirty, no clean towels, lots of dirt and mud on the floors, and general wet smell throughout the house. Spent the first night doing all the laundry (washing towels and linens) as host was not responsive again. Property says WiFi available, no WiFi details provided even when questioned. Finally got in contact with host 24 hours after check in who offered to send cleaners over but too late at this point as was checking out the next morning. Host did at least offer to refund the cleaning fee. After speaking with the host I accept this was a one off incident, and while I could accept one of these things in isolation, too many things went wrong over the whole stay.
