The Apple Barn is a self-contained, self-catering, character property forming part of a former Victorian farmstead. The property accommodates two guests: one king sized ground floor bedroom with a large open plan kitchen, living and dining area. Fully equipped kitchen includes fridge, hob (no oven), dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. Family bathroom with sink, WC, shower and separate bath. The property overlooks the mature garden of the main house (please note this is shared) and is situated in a peaceful setting of the countryside. There are plenty of lovely walks on your doorstep straight from the property around the village and to nearby Nature Reserve at Hayley Wood. The Red House Pub in Longstowe is located about a 15-20 minute walk from the Apple Barn via the footpaths, or a few minutes drive. The nearby village of Bourn offers a further local pub (The Willow Tree), a wonderful Indian Restaurant (The Lalbach) and Café/Bakery at the Stove, Manor Farm along with a Butchers catering for all your needs. The property is an ideal stay for wedding guests and those looking for a night or two of peace and quiet in the countryside. Further afield, there is the town of Cambridge (approx 20-25 minute drive) with a plethora of shops, restaurants the historic punting along the River Cam and museums.
