Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. This property requires a security deposit of £75. . Buckland Lodge is a wonderful lodge situated in a rural hamlet on the owner’s dairy farm. If you are searching for some peace and quiet, then Buckland Lodge is most certainly for you. This detached holiday home nestle in the ideal spot where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful break, yet it is perfectly situated to explore the stunning Cranborne Chase National Landscape. This wonderful location also joins a prestigious group of areas around the world that are certified International Dark-Sky Reserves and the park has been awarded as Dark Sky Friendly by Cranborne Chase National Landscape International Dark Sky Reserve, where you can see the Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxy, if the clouds allow! The lodge is only 20 minutes from the New Forest National Park, famous for its ponies, and it borders Martin Down National Nature Reserve. the latter is known for its wildlife, rare flowers and butterflies. The Jubilee Trail crosses from border to border across Dorset and there is direct access to many miles of stunning footpaths, bridleways and cross-country cycling around the hamlet of Pentridge. Although the lodge is set in a quiet countryside location, you are only 40 minutes from the glorious sandy beaches of the south coast and the fossils of the Jurassic Coast. If you are searching for a fun-filled day trip, then Newforest Water Park, Longleat, Peppa Pig World, Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum will offer fun for all ages and are well worth a visit. The Whitey Top Country Lodge (Ref UK36157) is the only other lodge, again with its own hot tub, situated in the park, and is well spaced from the Buckland ensuring privacy. Overall, my three-night stay at the cottage was a lovely experience. The accommodation itself was clean and tidy, and the surrounding area was undeniably beautiful, offering picturesque views. However, there were a few drawbacks that affected my stay. The bed was slightly uncomfy, as the mattress was very thin and the headboard was a bit loose and the TV provided in the cottage was also not up to par, as it was very small and had poor quality with no access to things like Netflix etc On a positive note, the hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. Their hospitality and willingness to assist with any inquiries or requests greatly enhanced the overall experience. We would stay here again and we did very much enjoy our time here
Location was great and the place was very clean. Amenities like the hot tub and fire place were lovely, but as the hot tub had to be checked every day and we weren’t told when, it felt quite disruptive to our privacy. It also would have been better if we had been given more dish cleaning supplies as it made cooking difficult. Otherwise, we were very happy with how clean the lodge was and it felt cosy and spacious.
we communicated we would be checking in late. no response, could not find the property. then was told by the hosts we hadn’t paid and we needed to call air bnb if we wanted to stay. we had paid, they did not care if we were safe getting to the property. then claimed we were trying to enter after cancelling. awful experience
Beautiful lodge, we loved it! So clean inside and had everything we needed. Will definitely book again, highly recommend.
Amazing place to stay with a good kitchen. Hot tub is good. if the sky is clear, a good place to see the stars.
