Located on 200 feet of lakefront with breathtaking views of both the sunrise and sunset from your private deck, this lovely one bedroom house is perfect for a romantic getaway for two, or a small family. 45 minutes from Rochester, Buffalo and Niagara Falls and right off the New York State Parkway, the location couldn't be more convenient. Just as lovely in the spring and fall as it is in the summer, this location is the perfect spot for parents visiting students in Brockport, Rochester, Niagara or Buffalo. Lake Ontario turns a vibrant dark blue in the spring and fall and a walk among the changing foliage in Lakeside Park is simply spectacular. On chillier nights, our fire pit provides a cozy place for you to comfortably linger well past sunset. A large stack of fire wood and plenty of kindling are available for your use. Long summer evenings will amaze you with skies loaded with stars and sparkling fireflies, the likes of which can only be seen in the country. The unit is all on one floor, and includes a queen-size bed, a convertible couch/full bed, kitchen and living room, as well as a full bathroom with shower. It is laid out like a studio, with an open concept that allows you to view the lake through the large picture windows, from anywhere in the house. The entire house has been completely remodeled, and is absolutely gorgeous inside. The property borders on Lakeside Park, where you can enjoy miles of hiking along the breathtaking bluffs on the southern shore of Lake Ontario. A new 18 hole disc golf course is also available for your enjoyment. In the area you will find several golf courses, fresh produce, a drive-in movie theater and wonderful restaurants. The house is nestled in a lakeside hamlet less than 15 minutes from the Erie Canal. Kayaking and canoeing opportunities along local creeks and waterways abound. You will find each nearby town loaded with unique shops, local landmarks and fascinating history. Our deck is located on the top of the bluff, creating a beautifully landscaped area with panoramic views of the sunrise and sunset, without having to climb a flight of stairs. Despite the lake’s record high levels lately, our new break wall keeps us ‘high and dry’, with no worries of flooding or erosion. There are steps down the bluff, and built into the break wall are steps right to the water. Be sure to check our online calendar... it is updated daily and reflects current availability.... 2023 reservations are now underway! If you are a large party, this probably isn't the house for you. We have a 20 gallon hot water heater, which is great for a couple or a small family, but several adults taking showers will definitely run out of hot water. If you're bringing a pet, please let me know! There's a $75 pet fee, and we have dedicated linens, rugs, etc. for our guests with pets. We also need extra time to shampoo the furniture and make sure there's no pet hair for the next guest, who may have pet allergies. Showing up with pets we're not prepared for, causes my poor cleaning lady major unnecessary stress. She works really hard making the house spotless for our guests, and especially in these trying times, an unexpected pet adds a tremendous amount of work to her already busy day. Everything about our stay was fantastic. Maureen made us feel very welcome. The state park walk-in entrance next door was a huge plus for us.
Maureen's place was such a wonderful, cozy place to stay. Unfortunately, something came up, so we were unable to make it out to her place for the first night of our two night stay. She reached out to us and let us have a late checkout so that we could enjoy alittle more time in the peace and serenity that we will surely be coming back to. It was unexpected and greatly appreciated. Thank you for being such a wonderful and accommodating host..
Our 2nd time at this lakeside cottage and again it was an amazing stay. Maureen is an outstanding host that goes above and beyond and it is a great place to feel like you are off the grid while also still being close to some great food options.
Maureen’s place is beautiful. Fully stocked. Awesome view. Nice neighborhood. And Maureen and Darcy are very friendly hosts. Would stay here again. We had a real fun time playing in the water.
The house is located on a quiet residential street, and borders on a beautiful New York State Park. You'll never find such a quiet, private location with so much lakefront!
There is a ton of parking. Have a boat on a trailer? No problem. Have a friend stopping by for a visit? No problem. You can park right next to the house, but there is also a large lot behind the house with room enough to park 20 cars. But don't bring that many. :-)

About the owner: My husband and I grew up in the Rochester area. We both came from large families and we love to travel and entertain. We enjoy this unique location on the lake so much, when the opportunity arose, we bought the house next door! We're happy to provide you with tips on good restaurants and fun things to do in the area, as well as directions on how to get wherever you want to go. We love this place and we want to make sure you do too! Why the Owner Chose Point Breeze: This location is ideal in so many ways: It is 45 minutes from our primary home. It is quiet and private. It has gorgeous views of the lake. Lakeside Park is a hidden treasure and it is in our back yard. We can leave on a Friday after work and enjoy dinner on the deck an hour later. Few people know about this location. The property tends to stay in families for generations and has remained a hidden treasure we were lucky enough to learn about through my uncle who introduced our family to this beautiful spot in 1959. The Unique Benefits at this House: There are few places I know of, where you can walk outside in your pajamas, cup of coffee and newspaper in hand and as you head to the deck you look out on the vastness of the lake and see six beautiful swans gliding by. You have to wonder... how could I beat this?
