Top spec en suite bedroom at the top of a Victorian cottage, 15 minutes walk from central Windsor. My friend and work colleague, Karl lives downstairs. He is super friendly and makes sure all guests enjoy their stay. He’s quite likely to cook for anyone who shows an interest! Beautiful Victorian cottage, sympathetically restored with all modern conveniences. The outside is waiting to be done! You have your own private en suite bathroom (shower). Plenty of very hot water at strong pressure. A very friendly welcome is assured. The well equipped kitchen/dinner downstairs is shared with other guests all of whom are friendly, I promise. French doors open on to the garden.

The hosts are truly wonderful people, can't say that enough. As for the room, oh, so lovely, a mixture of modern and warm interior, and perfectly clean. I slept so good there after exploring Windsor most of the day, truly like a little oasis. Another plus is that from the house, it is literally one minute to a van (Go2Gate) that picks up people and drives to and from Heathrow for a very good price.. One word of caution, it is also mentioned in the description, this room Castle View is on the top floor so book if you are ok with stairs. As for me, I know where I'll stay next time I will be in London/Windsor :)

Oak Lane is a narrow cul de sac built in Victorian times just outside Windsor. There is a recreational ground through a gate at the end with a brilliant play ground and cafe. Central Windsor is about a 20 minute walk.
Everything in Windsor is walkable. There is a good local bus service. Trains go to London, Waterloo and to Slough every 30 minutes. From Slough there are fast trains to London, Paddington and to Reading and Oxford.
