A great location with everything you could need. The small log burner heats the whole place and makes it feel cozy after long dog walks. Plenty of heaters and blankets too if you don’t fancy the fire. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking a meal and all appliances were easy to use. There is also a folder with lots of helpful information about the accomodation and surrounding areas.
Lovely cottage and surroundings. Great host, perfect communication!!! Definitely I’d book it again 😃
We've just come back from a fantastic 4 nights stay here! The Air BnB is idyllic, down a quiet alleyway and we didn't see or hear a single other person the entire time! The log burner is a beautiful touch, and we worried due to the tall ceilings that it would be chilly, but with the electric heaters on we were almost too warm so that was great! The bed was unbelievably comfy, and the entire place was fantastic! Reeth is a perfect base for exploring, and the village has 2 nice pubs with fantastic ale selections (although the food was a bit basic, but that is obviously NOT a reflection on the Air BnB at all, more just a heads up for visitors!) I would 100% recommend anyone to stay here, and would definitely come back in a heartbeat if visiting again :)
Private, well-kept little bolt hole tucked away behind other residences and close to a good pub (The Buck). Made a great base for exploring Swaledale, with plenty of walks from the door as well as being well connected by road for Richmond and places further up the dale, or even up towards Barnard Castle, Bowes, etc. There were a couple of things we hadn't appreciated properly: one was that we would end up parking on the village green. It seemed to be impossible to park on Silver Street. Not an issue most of the time, just slightly inconvenient when loading/unloading. The second thing was that we found the topsy turvy layout slightly awkward for us (especially with a wet dog!). It was a little chilly downstairs without the fire lit, but this did have a tendency to make the upstairs room stifling hot! It was a nice place though, and other folks may not find these things a problem for them. The upstairs room was lovely and airy, well laid out, and cosy at the same time.
The Little Barn is in the centre of Reeth the heart of the Swaledale, close to the amenities such as pubs, cafes, postoffice and store.
