Billy's place is in a beautiful part of Montego Bay. It has a spectacular view of the city from the south. Billy is very calm and friendly and gives good advice of the city and the ameties of his place. Accessing Billy's place is going up a very steep hill, and the entrance is on the hill, so it is important that your vehicle is able to make the climb. The rooms are located below the street level entrance so be prepared for the steep stairs and be careful of the cantilever at head level. Billy's place is quite basic and could use some updates to the bathroom and kitchen fixtures. There was no hot water in the shower or bathroom basin. The toilet had water stains and the shower and basin needed to be cleaned. We had a roach encounter in one of the bedrooms. We would encourage Billy to have the apartment thoroughly cleaned as he has a good product that he just needs to give attention to the details that could make his place excellent overall.

My stay at Billy and Maria was amazing. This is defenetly not a hotel. Do not expect that. But- this is the true experience of living with the locals. There is plenty of room, and what you get in the flat, is exactly the way Billy lives, right upstairs. The place is located slightly out of the city. Billy has some really good recomendations for interesting things to do around the area, and he can also drive you with his car. When arriving at the airport- Billy was already there waiting with his car. Great place to see some local culture, eat some Rasta local food, and enjoy nature. I defenetly return there in the future!

I really enjoyed the week at Billy's! It's a little distance from the main strip, but the locals in the area are wonderful! My only complaint is the water pressure in the shower, which Billy and Maria both mentioned at some point during the stay, and no hot water....which after a day at the beach isn't terrible. However, the tap water is definitely clean enough to drink...which I'd take over hot water any day! There's no a/c but, it's not needed! The apt is downstairs, so it's nice and shaded and there are fans provided. There's a little shop just down the hill where you can get coffee, snacks, booze, etc. There's lots of music nearly at all times. I would highly recommend staying with Billy!
