Your room is part of our family home on our farm named ‘Te Taunga’. It is a certified organic sheep and beef farm, worked by multiple generations of the McGills. The farm is located close to Surat Bay and perfectly located to explore the Catlins. Guests have a lovely and comfortable room with view of the ocean. This room is part of our family home but has its own entrance, and locked door to the remainder of the house. Warm north facing room with double glazing, situated on the west end of an architecturally designed home. Room equiped with fridge, toaster, kettle, cutlery and crockery. ***Please note there is no access to a full kitchen. When having a bath you can enjoy the view across the garden and out to sea.

We absolutely loved staying at Bens place! Their property is gorgeous and close to Nugget Point! Ben was super responsive and great at making sure we felt right at home.
It's an amazing place with beautiful view. High quality room, especially the bathroom. Emma and Ben are nice and polite. The room shows the hosts really take care every single thing to make their guests have the most comfortable feeling. The only thing was I forgot to check the facilities before booking because usually all of the homestays I booked before including the kitchen or at least a microwave but this time was an unexpected. However I still had a good experience with this place.
Very comfortable room, clean and with a beautiful view. Close to several hikes, waterfalls and tourist spots in the area. I would only add a microwave in the room which can be useful as there is not kitchen. Excellent experience

Surat Bay is only 2.5km from your stay, a gorgeous beach and home to many sea lions. Our farm is 3.5km from Owaka, our local town which has a supermarket, pub, restaurant and takeaway food options.
