Just 20 minutes from Tepoztlán and on the way to Santo Domingo Ocotitlán, Casa Nim is located in the middle of the imposing mountains and away from the noise and life of Tepoztlán.
You can see only from the house; the mountains and the beautiful scenery in the gardens give peace and silence.
Despite appearing to be an isolated site, we have many neighbors. All are committed to sustainable construction so the road has not been paved and no electricity has been installed to keep the area less impacted and less developed.
The area is quite safe and pleasant for hiking, and trails and can be accessed by car within minutes to waterfalls, horseback riding, natural medicine, temazcales, spas, etc... The towns of Santo Domingo Ocotitlán, Tepoztlán, and Amatlán are just a few minutes away where you can find many restaurants, markets, tianguis, and stores. Always discovering new things that this wonderful place of Tepoztlán has to offer.
The Studio and the entire Casa Nim is a unique designer property. You will have the peace of being out of town and very close to the tourist town of Tepoztlán. It is a property that has everything you need to enjoy alone or as a couple, whether you want a relaxing, creative, or even a business trip.
We built the whole enclosure thinking about being in a privileged place but with respect for nature. 100% of the house is electrified with solar energy during the day and at night everything is illuminated and works thanks to the powerful lithium batteries we have. We also have Starlink's fast satellite internet and repeaters throughout the property so you can stay connected since there is no cellular or telephone signal.
It has 1 bedroom with thin curtains and blackout curtains that are controlled by remote control. It has a queen-sized bed and a terrace on the first floor overlooking the garden. It also has a kitchen, living room, dining room, Smart TV, and bathroom overlooking the beautiful garden that also has a bathtub.
You can appreciate throughout the construction the compressed earth walls as well as its large windows that always allow beautiful views from all spaces and are characteristic of the architecture of Casa Nim.
We have gardens all around the property, including an area of fruit trees. During the rainy season (June - October) you will appreciate the views as in the photos, full of green. During the dry season, the landscape becomes very beautiful too, golden.
The pool is heated by solar heating and is generally 28-30 degrees Celcius which is very pleasant. To increase the temperature, it can be heated with gas, which has to be arranged in advance with us ($6.00 U.S. aprox pero hour of gas would be charged if requested).
Regarding the temperature, the house is very warm and cool in the daytime all year round so there is no need for air conditioning or heating. However, we do have fans available and extra blankets if required.
It is very safe here as all the land is fenced and has barbed wire. There are more than 10 surveillance cameras on the outside. It has an electric gate. Armando and Lucy are workers who live in a house inside the property and they will be with you during your stay all the time so you will always feel cared for and accompanied. If you wish, you will not have to live with them since it is a very large property. However, for a house of this magnitude, it is important for us that it is always well maintained. We also have two gardeners who will also be working on the property. We always take care of the privacy of our guests so we will be taking care that during your stay will not be a problem for you.
