Imagine being on a cliff in the rainforest, able to explore the waterfalls, from the comfort of home... your private home has a king size bed, a kitchen, 3 hammocks, and a black sand beach, and is inside of a 1983 Greyhound Bus... with parking just steps from the bed, you can use this home as a comfortable base to explore your private 9 acre rainforest. Take full advantage of your private waterfall baths situated in the depths of the bamboo. Enjoy the healing spring waters, serenaded by coquí. Finca Cucubána is tucked away in a 3,300 acre rainforest preserve. At the highest elevation in the Northwest region of the island, you can see dozens of towns in the far horizon to the North. To the South you have a view of the rainforest, free of structures and city lights. Located in the municipality known for the most acres per person, Finca Cucubána is a farm of lighning bugs, as well as organic fruits, roots and veggies. You can hike through miles of waterfalls, starting at the source, a sacred Taíno spring, where you can fill up your water vessels directly from the Earth, where the saturated rainforest produces the best quality drinking water on the island! The best part about this listing, you do not have to hike to camp! Just park and enjoy the cliffside view of the mountains, just steps from your private kitchen and bed.

Such a great stay! It was so relaxing and the atmosphere and location was perfect. Just laying on the hammock with the breeze blowing overlooking the rainforest, so beautiful. Brett was super communicative and helped me with anything I needed and gave me a lot of great recommendations. Would recommend!!
Had an amazing weekend surrounded by nature and it’s beautiful sounds. Brett was an amazing host, always available for what you need and very helpful. I came from very far and got lost a lot and he was the most patient person explaining where I should go. He also suggested spots I could visit on my way there, different beaches and also suggested places I should go eat. Overall an amazing experience!
last minute change of plans, ended up stumbling on this spot .....for the outdoor lover and has great views. Got to experience the night jungle noises....the night drive to the spot is gnarly for make sure to get there during day light. Brett is awesome reached out and recommended an amazing beach spot
Unfortunately, I was unable to stay at this glamping site. There was a last minute change in plans due to a controlled fire burn in the area. This being said, Brett (Pann) was willing to set me up somewhere else. I was a little concerned being a solo female traveler, but he helped me with everything I needed! He’s extremely personable, accommodating, and intelligent. I had the luxury of spending time with his friends and their families. He was even willing to help me with transportation but I already had a car. I already had one booked and had no GPS signal at the time so he stayed on the phone with me to describe directions to the new place. This was at like 4am! That should tell ya a lot right there. If you’re looking to book through someone, hit up Brett/Pan. He’s the best!

This is the kind of town where police officers help the elderly cross the road from the grocery store. We have no traffic signals, no crime, and the most land per capita in the entire island. Our guests typically choose us for the isolation, as nature helps us return to a true selves. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city, where the only sounds you will hear are the birds and the breeze.

If you decide to handle your own transportation, we recommend renting a car, as Uber, Lyft, and Taxis are very difficult to secure outside of the city limits of San Juan.

Love and Blessings. My name is Brett. Since the age of 10, I have been intrigued by the indigenous tribes of the Caribbean Sea. I returned to the sea every summer to discover a new country, culture, and always hoping to find a new tribe. I am forever grateful for all the hosts that have welcomed me into their homes.
