Immerse yourself in a bygone era at St John's Jailhouse, perched just steps away from Stirling's most legendary attractions. Dating back to 1790, our spacious 3 bedroom apartment has recently been meticulously renovated to celebrate its rich history, whilst offering a luxuriously modern living experience. Situated in the heart of the old town, the Castle, Tolbooth and Old Town Jail will be right on your doorstep, with a wide selection of restaurants and bars just a short walk away. Located on the top floor, nestled amongst the rooftops, every window offers a curated view of a city steeped in history. After a busy day exploring the local amenities, the cosy living room offers the perfect setting to unwind. A 55" smart tv loaded with the latest on demand tv and Netflix, paired with an array of locally sourced books and board games will be sure to keep the whole family entertained. Should you not wish to venture out to dine, you will find a fully equipped kitchen off the living room fitted with a suite of modern conveniences, including a state of the art steam oven and induction hob. The master bedroom has been sympathetically restored to the rooms traditional style with original hardwood flooring throughout. In contrast, bedroom two offers a chic boutique design with stunning views of the Old Town Jail to the rear. Both bedrooms comprise fitted wardrobes and king sized beds coupled with luxuriously thick 7-layer mattresses, which guarantee for an exceptionally comfortable nights sleep. Our third bedroom comes equipped with spacious bunk beds designed specifically for adults on our equally luxurious single sized 7-layer mattresses. Designed with a nod to Scotland's renowned wizarding franchise, it is bound to be a favourite of our younger guests. We know a great nights sleep is of top priority, that’s why every room has also been fitted with full blackout roman blinds.

We stayed in 5 different Airbnbs in Scotland. This was by far our favorite. The flat was beautiful, had been remodeled recently, and was just wonderful. The location was awesome right next to Stirling Castle. The neighborhood was quaint and safe. The food was wonderful! Daniel has many little upgrades such as coffee, food and snacks. It was a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay there again. Thanks Daniel

It was great pleasure stay at Daniel’s place. Super good location with historical surroundings … very easy communication and support information . Feel caring. Strong recommend if anyone would like visit storing. Not mention very clean and modern furnished apartment .

What a beautiful property. Excellent location and so interesting being in such an old, quirky building, fully immersed in the history of the city. The property is very stylish, merging old and new in a beautiful way. Daniel had left an amazing welcome back of food and drinks, we've stayed in a lot of Air BnB properties and this welcome was by far the best. Really helpful, tailored information given on the black board in the kitchen and a lovely welcome message. Would highly recommend this property.

Nicknamed the 'Gateway to the Highlands', Stirling is Ideally located to base your Scottish expedition centrally between Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Highlands. With an abundance to offer, St Johns Jailhouse Stirling is a destination in its own right. Locally known as 'Top of the Town', Stirling's old town is home to some of Scotland's most prized historic attractions, whilst only being within a 5-10 minute walk of award winning bars and restaurants as well as two large supermarkets. Our neighbours at the Old Town Jail and Tolbooth are host to some incredible weekly events and tours as well as the Tourist Information Centre. A favourite of ours being the evening Ghost Walk by the late hangman of Stirling. Do beware, you might find out more than you desire about what lurks next door!
The city’s compact nature, makes it highly walkable with nearly all amenities within a 10 minute walk from the centre. If you are venturing beyond Stirling, the rail station is a 10 minute walk from the apartment, with links to Edinburgh Waverly (48 minutes) and Glasgow Queen Street (34 minutes). Stirling's medieval old town is built upon a volcanic outcrop, as such there are some inclines to navigate as well as cobbled streets to be aware of if travelling with heavy luggage from the station. We offer an early bag drop facility to make your stay as hassle-free as possible.
