We absolutely loved our stay at Alessandra's place!! it's a little oasis that's super accessible to the action of Las Terrenas but once you're home you're in a wonderful, scenic, peaceful spot with absolutely none of the noise in town. Alessandra had great local advice, and was fab to chat with over a coffee or poolside Cuba libre. And the dogs are all super friendly (hey Penny!),.our 4yr old daughter adored them (and the pool!) The 3 of us stayed very comfortably in the studio villa. We had everything that was needed and more. And à shout out to Gisèle who works with Alessandra - she also helped make us feel extremely welcome. We hope to return to Las Terrenas one day. If we do, we're staying here again. Highly recommended.

Todo muy lindo. Pero el agua de la ducha esta un poco amarilla y huele a oxido. Debes tener cuidado con el ruido.

EXCELENTE alojamiento!nos sentimos más cómodos que en casa. La cama es espectacular, es un bungalow con todo lo necesario para pasar una estadía fenomenal. TV con Netflix Amazon. Cocina bien equipada, agua gratis, también café infusiones. La zona es extremadamente tranquila y no lejos del mar..y que decir del parque?un lugar increíble para relajarse y hacerse una barbacoa. Nos dio mucha pena irnos. Creo la puntuación debería ser 10 absoluto!

We had a blissful stay of almost 3 weeks at Casa Barbara. It was our first visit to DR and we were a bit apprehensive. Turns out Las Terrenas is extremely safe, we walked everywhere, at all hours of the day. Casa Barbara is perfectly located, close to everything including the perfect Playa Ballernas, but far from the noise. Alessandra, a superb host, answered all my numerous questions. She arranged our transport through Julio, who is wonderful as well. The pool was delightful and the Xmas decorations beautiful, thanks to Giancarlo. The cottage is perfect for a couple. We appreciated the safe in the room. Yeisel cleaned our place meticulously. We found no bugs, only the pesky, all-day mosquitoes. The kitchen is well stocked and perfect. The 6 dogs are super friendly, they are separated from the guests except for the pool area.
