Nestled amidst nature's embrace, this inviting getaway boasts three bedrooms exuding warmth and comfort. Be welcomed by lofty timber ceilings that echo the rustic elegance of the countryside. Stay two nights and choose a hand made Italian pasta & sauce meal to be put in the fridge! (1 serve paste and sauce for each person booked) Surrounded by nature's tranquility, this chalet offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Whether you're seeking a serene retreat or a base to explore the beauty of Witta and surrounds, this is the ideal destination for a memorable stay. ***Please note that guests do have use of the entire house, however only the shared space bed will be made up upon bookings for 2 guests (lounge room) and bathroom downstairs. Upstairs bathroom & bedrooms will be made available for use upon booking for more than 2 guests. Other bedrooms will not be accessible unless specifically requested. $40 linen fee per bed applies to additional beds being requested. 2 guests = 1 queen bed unless specifically requested and linen fee paid. Air conditioning units are located upstairs - these are large enough to cool upstairs and downstairs. ***Bedrooms will also be made up according to the number of guests who book - for every 2 guests we make up 1x queen bed, unless advised otherwise. A linen fee of $40 per stay will be charged for an extra bed to be made up if fewer than 3 guests are attending.*** Pasta & Sauce - (Meal on first night only) Choice of either - 1.Meat option - spaghetti/fettuccini & Bolognese meat sauce (Dairy Free), 2. Meat option - spaghetti/fettuccini & creamy mushroom & pancetta sauce, 3. Vegetarian option - spaghetti/fettuccini & plan vegetable napolitana sauce (Dairy Free) *Please note - if you do not advise us of your selection, you will receive pasta and Bolognese meat sauce. (Please advise if your dietary requirements (gluten intolerant or other allergies) don't allow a meal to save wastage.* Please see floorplan for bedroom layout - 2 queens and 2 singles. 1 x single bed is in the lounge which also features Smart Tv, upstairs 2 x queens and 1 x single in the "retreat"

Megan's house was perfect for our needs it was clean and tidy . and in a great spot .
We had an okay stay at Megan's place. I'll start with the pros and then discuss where it fell short. Pros: -The check-in process was as easy -It was a nice touch to have pasta in the fridge on arrival -The back-yard is fully fenced so we felt comfortable with our dog roaming the yard What let us down/could be worked on: -The cottage and furniture are old, but not a character/nice old. The place gives off a smell of grandma's house that hasn't been aired out in weeks. All of the sofa springs are broken and just seemed too musty to even sit on. In need of replacement. -If you book for 2 people it is a studio apartment and you miss the beautiful re-done upstairs and have no privacy if you and your partner wake up or go to bed at separate times. There is also no aircon in the "studio apartment," only upstairs. The characters in the review don't allow for anymore detail but overall it was okay but didn't offer the charming rural getaway with our dog we had hoped for.
Dog friendly back yard but difficult for the dog to shelter from the continual downpours that we had during our stay, since the dog is an outside dog 95% of the time. Our dog really enjoyed being able to play with the 2 beautiful greyhounds next door. Thankyou for that!!
I highly recommend this accommodation. We were looking for somewhere to stay on short notice and Megan was very helpful and made the whole process simple. We decided to extend our stay for a few days and Megan went out of her way to accommodate us and made it easy. The accommodation was beautiful and everything was in order. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone.
Beautiful accommodation. If we needed anything it was pretty much available, particularly the kitchen, bathroom and laundry . The only thing I could possibly suggest is needed, and that was only for us, would be a vegetable peeler and it was not an issue as they had 2 very sharp little knives which I used as a substitute. Would highly recommend to future visitors to Maleny and the peace and quiet was wonderful. Thank you Megan.

Locals farm friendly and bring your cash in case you want to purchase a delicious pie and coffee. Every 3rd Saturday of the month - 7am - 12noon at the old Witta School
Berganns Lane walking track - dog friendly - access from roughly 100m further down Berganns Road to the RHS (walk through to Witta markets).
Roads are sealed and easily accessible.
