Pros -It was peaceful -The stars were amazing -Great food in the area -Nice untrafficked trails -Easy instructions Cons -We reached out to the rental company twice a day prior. There was no response. -With the exception of stripping the sheets, you pay a $135 cleaning fee for cleaning the entire cabin yourself. -Trash needed to be driven to the dumpster site. -There was no trash bag to put the main trash in. -We started our trip during firewood season. There was no firewood for us. -There was a house 10 steps away from the cabin which wasn't shown in the pictures. (There weren't any issues with the neighbors but transparency is lacking) - Even though paying for access to the entire cabin, all rooms weren't available to us as one was pad locked. It was a nice getaway but poor dealings for the price. I won't be staying again. I wouldn't recommend.
Wonderful place to relax. Beautiful cabin, with amenities as described, furnishings and kitchen in great shape. Enough space that the family doesn't bump into each other, but nevertheless cozy. Used the gas grill several times, with a beautiful view of the wooded slope down to the lake. Saw deer (and fawn) every day - what a treat! 10 minute drive to Ellijay which has a good choice of restaurants if you're not the type to cook (or just need a break from it!). Easy to recommend this place.
Lovely place, lakefront, can’t ask for more! Lots of places to relax and enjoy the view, the kids loved the game room, an easy place to launch a kayak from, some little paths to go on nature walks right outside your door. Lots of stairs to maneuver to get between bedrooms/living room/game room, and the walk to the lake is steep, which was no problem for us but our elderly dog found it challenging.
The space absolutely rocked!!! Exceeded expectations for the entire family from Dad & Moms to kids under 10. More importantly while sourcing other rental opportunities this house and mgmt was nothing but convenient (while other companies were so horribly difficult that I would never use a property of theirs ever moving forward). My sincere kudos! Ending on a high note, because that's absolutely what this place deserves, the house was fantastic and looking forward to renting again.
