Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Only a few minutes from the charming village and famous beaches of Crescent Head. Ma's Cottage is a freshly renovated 2 bedroom cottage on 2.5 acres of manicured gardens and rural paddocks. Tucked away, private and peaceful, perfect for a short term work contract or a relaxing getaway. It has 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in one room and the choice of a double bed or bunks in the other. There's a well equipped kitchen and a spacious bathroom. our estate is a semi rural hamlet just a few minutes from the beachside village of Crescent Head. We are in a cul-de-sac of 2.5 acre properties, which is peaceful and serene, with an abundance of kangaroos, wallabies, parrots, lorrikeets, magpies and butcher birds . Mostly cleared as parklike lawns with swales of mixed planting native trees and shrubs, interplanted with frangipanis and other fragrant exotics. We live in the main house and Ma's Cottage was built for my mum who lived independently until she moved into an aged care facility. We have renovated her cottage with her blessings, to offer people a quiet retreat just minutes from the beach.

The host was amazing, friendly and thoughtful and went out of her way to make our family comfortable. Jen went above and beyond with her kindness and generosity and the accommodation exceeded all expectations. Jen’s added touches made the stay so much more memorable. A lovely peaceful hideaway still close enough to enjoy all Crescent has to offer. We will definitely book again.
Staying at Ma's cottage was one of the best Airbnb experiences I have ever had. It was exactly as expected and more. The cottage was extremely clean and had a homely feeling. Lots of thought has been put into the amenities, with lots of additional supplies in case you have forgotten anything. Jen and Glen were friendly and made sure our time with them was comfortable. We look forward to staying again in the future. 5/5 stars ⭐
If I could give Ma's cottage 6 stars, I would! Jen and Glen's hospitality, generosity, attention to detail and consideration for their guests is something special and unique in my experience. Our family of four had a fantastic weekend and will be back as soon as we can!
My three kids and I had the most relaxing visit at Ma’s Cottage. Lovely bakery treats on arrival and other thoughtful gifts and Jen and Glen have thought of everything in case you’ve been caught short on any supplies. So kind and generous. We swam in the river and the beach at Crescent Head in the morning and would spend the afternoons playing board games or swimming in their lovely pool. I even got to show my kids some of the many species of frogs around the property which was the icing on the cake. We went via the bakery to pick up some more delicious pumpkin bread before reluctantly heading home to Canberra and are already thinking about our next visit. We will definitely be back.
Jennifer and Glenn were amazing hosts who went above and beyond to make us comfortable and enjoy our stay. They had thought of everything - 11/10. Ma’s cottage was extremely well appointed with all the details thought through. It had all the benefits of being close to Crescent Head (5 mins drive) but being surrounded by nature. Our family of 2 teens and two adults loved waking up to the sounds of birds, having our meals on the deck and waving to the kangaroos. We are now figuring out when we can come back!

we are set in a rural estate, just minutes from the village of Crescent head. The property is on 2.5 acres, with nature zone buffers and waterways amongst the acreages. There is an abundance of native birds, plants and other native animals such as our resident mob of Eastern Grey Kangaroos.
most people would drive in order to visit the beach, local shops and attractions, but enthusiastic cyclists could also base themselves here in order to explore the area. motorcyclists would also enjoy being based here, as there are famous rides to 'gingers creek' and up 'waterfall way ' from Bellingen to Dorrigo plateau.
