Simple, stylish and sunny, Fantail cottage is conveniently located only a few minutes from Havelock North village. Very clean and light, it is surrounded by orchards in a lovely semi-rural setting. The cottage is fully fenced with outdoor dining on one side and a second private courtyard on the other side. A new heat pump makes for a comfortably cool summer and warm winter nights. The cottage boasts three large spacious bedrooms, two of which have comfortable Queen Beds and the other has two King Single beds (extra-large single beds) and a pull out single trundle bed if needed. You have a comfortable lounge to enjoy, indoor dining that seats six, 4 bar stools at the breakfast bar and a kitchen providing most basics including a large fridge, microwave, bench-top oven and coffee machine. Plenty of plates, cups and cutlery are at your disposal, as well as salt, pepper, tea and coffee.

Great place to stay, not too far from town and very peaceful at night.
Clean and spacious with comfy beds and a great hot shower. Accommodation well appointed but rough around the edges. Unfortunately there was loud noises from a neighbouring engineering business during our stay. We didn’t expect that business, just the orchards being worked. Outside areas had comfy seats and loungers. Kate and Steffan were helpful and friendly. We would stay again.
We had an enjoyable stay at this Airbnb. Very spacious and comfortable with only 5 mins if that from town. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Would definitely recommend.
We had a fantastic stay! The accom was lovely with a peaceful location to match. The hosts are very friendly and were quick to assist us with a couple of minor hiccups that were outside their control. Thanks Steffan and Kate!
The Fantail Cottage is set in peaceful surroundings amongst the orchards. Anyone who likes getting into the outdoors will love this place. It provided a great base either to go on walks from the door or to explore the rest of what Hawkes Bay had to offer, without having to travel too far. Kate and Steffan were amazing hosts! Super friendly, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable about the local area

Fantail Cottage is located in a truly beautiful and special part of the stunning Hawke's Bay. With a semi-rural feel because of all the nearby orchards, wineries and gardens, we are actually only a few short minutes drive into the centre of Havelock North Village. Askern Winery is at one end of our lovely road and the delicious Figgery Cafe and shop only a short walk at the other end. Te Mata Peak with all it's delightful walking and mountain biking tracks is just a short drive and for those less excited about adventures you will love the boutique and glamorous shopping options in the village.
Havelock North offers an incredible variety to world-class wineries such as Black Barn Winery and Craggy Range Winery, top dining experiences at places like Malo, Piku and Allessandros, as well as endless options of funky and fabulous cafes serving barista-made coffees and delicious eats. So many options, where to start!!
Hastings, Clive, Napier, Te Awanga and the alluring golden beaches of Waimarama and Ocean beach are all just a short and beautiful drive away.
Driving is definitely the best option giving you freedom to explore all the beautiful wineries and nearby attractions. Fantail House has plenty of safe off-street parking for any size vehicles. However there are public buses available from Havelock that can provide transport to Napier, Hastings etc. We also have plenty of local transport options including taxis and uber.
