Modern Home in the Heart of Murphy - Massage Chair, Jetted Tub, KING bed. Nestled in a historic neighborhood, this 3-bed, 2.5-bth vacation home offers two Smart TVs, a full, stocked kitchen, and a cozy gas fireplace. Enjoy a summer float down the Hiwassee River, take a boat out on Cherokee Lake, or venture out for a hike on the Appalachian Trail! Later, you can head downtown for a stroll along the River Walk and a local brew. This modern getaway awaits you in the heart of the Smoky Mountains! This three bedroom home was built in 2010 and has a modern look and feel. The layout is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and meals may be served in the kitchen nook or the formal dining room. There is a separate office with large desk, fast fiber internet, ergonomic chair and NEW Osaki massage chair. The Osaki OS Champ Massage Chair was rated by the NY Times to be one of the top massage chairs of 2023! It gives a relaxing full massage, which is glorious for tight or sore muscles or just a way to unwind at the end of the day The master has a King bed, a sitting area and a Smart TV. The master bath is huge with a separate shower, jetted tub, makeup area, two sinks and a very large walk in closet. The 2nd bedroom has a Queen bed, and the 3rd bedroom has a twin daybed that converts to a King. In addition, there is a relaxing Sunroom for games, reading or extra dining space. The living room is large and has a 60 in Smart TV as well plenty of comfortable seating. Come and enjoy Murphy and all it has to offer in this modern, comfortable home with amenities for all!

My husband and I stayed at Lorraine’s home for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The home is spacious and comfortable. Just a few blocks from restaurants and the Murphy fitness center. It was a perfect place for us to stay while we took classes at the nearby folk school.
What a wonderful host! An absolutely beautiful, clean and comfortable home. I would recommend this home to anyone and will definitely stay again!

Lorraine's place was very spacious and nicely decorated! The large kitchen, livingroom and diningroom table was perfect for our family to eat meals and play games in the evening.
Loved staying at this home. It worked out wonderfully visiting with family in the area. My mom and I enjoyed having our own space and room for family when they stopped by to visit. We would definitely stay again.

The Valley River Getaway is nestled in a quiet, historic neighborhood in the heart of Murphy, NC. The home is a 10 minute walk to downtown Murphy where you will find quaint shops, wonderful restaurants, antiques, coffee shops and fun local brews. The famous, scenic Murphy River Walk is a 5 minute walk away. You can catch the trail just across the bridge from the community center and walk for miles along the banks of the river through wooded trails, foot bridges and viewpoint terraces. Murphy Recreation Park is just down the road where you'll find fun playgrounds, tennis and pickle ball courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center and a community indoor pool. If you want to venture out of town, then many adventures await. Enjoy a summer float down the Hiwassee River, take a boat out on Cherokee Lake, or venture out for a hike on the Appalachian Trail! Traffic is light and It is easy to get around in the city of Murphy and surrounding areas. Parking is plentiful and free at most locations in town. Biking is not recommended since there are no bike lanes on roads, but walking in town is popular and many people come to Murphy to enjoy the River Walk, which you may access from Konehete Park in central Murphy. For your shopping needs, Walmart, Ingles and Lowes are about a 5 minute drive away. Check out other area attractions that are close by in our Guide Book!

My husband, Gary, and I live in Tacoma, WA. Gary is a retired Boeing Senior Technical Fellow. That means that he used his skills to make sure that airplanes are safe, roomy (still working on this one!) and efficient. I, Lori, recently retired as a Church Administrator. We love to travel, hike, and read a good book while relaxing on the front porch. We also love to spend time with our 3 precious granddaughters who live here in Murphy!
