Everything about this place was truly special. The beach, the hike to Ravello, the lemon trees (and limoncello), the restaurants in Atrani, and the cliff house patio with the outdoor shower - I only wish we had more time in this lovely place. We took the bus from Salerno (pay attention to the stops - get off 2 stops before Amalfi) and the ferry back, and both were rather seamless, not to mention scenic, though we did prefer the ferry.

Our stay in Amalfi/Ravello, Italy was wonderful. Stefania made my wife, 10-year old son, and I feel at home. She was willing to help us with instructions on public transportation, with taxi information, instructions for taking the Ferry, and restaurant recommendations. The apartment was wonderful. It had a beautiful view of Atrino and the sea. We also enjoyed walking down to Atrino and Amalfi every day which allowed us to take in the beautiful scenery and to get a sense that we were hiking/site seeing at the same time. And the end of our trip we had to leave one day early due to a family emergency. Stefania worked with us to give us a refund. She went out her way to make sure we were taken care of. The weekend we were there we were invited to attend the local church and we had a chance to attend liturgy with fellow Italians that are from Ravello. They were extremely welcoming to all of us. Overall - we had a fantastic trip and we felt that we got to experience Italy!

We thoroughly enjoyed our short time in the Amalfi. Stefania and Emiliano were such kind hosts. We enjoyed meeting them and making new friends. The unit is part of a gorgeous villa, and our section was private with its own terrace to enjoy the views. I spent hours just chilling out, watching the boats pass by. Everything you might need in amenities is available — there is a laundry machine to catch up on your dirt clothes and a fully stocked kitchen with oven, dish washer, fridge. We appreciated the small snacks and cereal. The unit is a short walk to Atrani, the cutest, smallest town with a handful of dining options. Amalfi itself is not a difficult walk down, but you may elect to take a bus back up. Really, our only struggles were with the buses, but that is not in the hosts’ control and is a problem in general. Give yourself extra time for the bus “schedules”, relax, and enjoy the beauty of this incredible corner of the world. We hope to have the chance to return!
