My house is a typical white-washed Salento town house in a sleepy Puglian town. It is in the centro storico (town-centre) & is situated 11km from LECCE with it's restaurants, art & culture & architecture - a Baroque city often called the 'Florence of the South’ - much more appealing, though, than Florence, with it’s Moorish influence, museums, roof terraces, great shops and quirky restaurants with amazing Salento-style home cooking. Totally unpretentious & easy to navigate on foot. My house is humble yet comfortable and is antique style, it is perfect for solo travellers who are looking for a peaceful bed in an accessible, yet quiet Salento town that is immersed in the olive groves and beautiful surrounding countryside. There are lovely walks in Caprarica itself. There is lots to do in nearby with many wonderful towns, the sea - and Lecce with great food and restaurants and many places to swim and spend time in Nature. The house has comfort, bespoke hand-made tiled floors, a marble kitchen, a private bedroom and shower room, a comfortable bed, outside space, the sun, the sea, bolsters and yoga mats and the gentle Salento breeze! There is the whole of Salento to explore as well as the blissful silence to be witnessed, the birds sing in the garden opposite, and there are long walks through the olive groves or on the nearby beaches, and a stillness and peace in a quaint little town where time stands still and the only noise is the church bells ringing and local pedestrians and residents passing by intermittently... The nearest sea is 15/20 minutes away with turquoise water, that is clear & clean. You’ll love my place because of the outdoor spaces, the light, the ambiance, and the neighbourhood.
