圣吉尔 · 出租单元里的独立房间 · 1室1床3.0卫 · 可住2人 · Chambre 2
Bedroom in a big, bright and clean apartement. The apartment is shared with other people from around the world. The neighbourhood is safe. It is very mixed (poor, rich, different cultures). People are very friendly here. The closest supermarket 7/7 days until 8PM is Intermarché, chaussée de Forest. (10 minutes walk), but they are many other small grocery shops open way later. If you don't mind walking, there is also a Lidl in Forest (20 minutes walk). This is a big shared apartement on 4 levels with 5 double bedrooms. It's like a small hostel for travellers. You have your privacy in your bedroom that you can lock and take the key with you. We ask to be quiet, but the apartement is not a soundproof hotel, so I would recommend to bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise when you sleep. There are 2 showers in two different bathrooms and 2 toilets in 2 other separate rooms. Everything locks. We provide 2 towells per stay, shampoo, shower gel, toilet paper. The apartment is on the third floor and up, lots of stairs and no lift.
L’accès et la précision sur le logement très clairs . L’appartement était propre pleins d’équipements et la chambre vraiment jolie nous sommes ravie même si nous y sommes restées qu’une nuit Tout était parfait merci
We loved our room. The shared places were clean but were messy. A lot of clutter and random things everywhere along the stairs and the entrance. What I found unexpected is that a period pad was used as a door stopper in the kitchen. Otherwise the stay was okay, other guests were respectful and the bedroom itself was perfect.
La habitación está muy cómoda, solo es complicado subir tanto escalón con el equipaje o cosas que lleves.
Welcome to Saint-Gilles! One of the 19 districts of Brussels capital.
From our place:
- the closest Metro is at 10 minutes walk: Porte de Hal.
- 15 minutes walk from the train station Midi (Thalys, Eurostar, all Belgian towns Brugge, Antwerpen, Ghent or the Belgian coast, etc.).
-20 minutes by bus to the city center (or one stop by train from Midi. If you are not against walking the train is the cheapest way to go around: 2,5 euro the train ticket can be used all day inside Brussels, so to the center (Central Station) and back, to the European neighbourhood (train to Shuman) or to our Belgian Eiffel tower Atomium: train to Jette then walk a bit).
- very well deserved by many trams and busses.
- lots of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants way tastier and cheaper than in the touristic center.
- Art Deco, Art Nouveau and Empire style houses all around.
-Place du Jeu de Balle is very nice to have brunch, walk around on Sundays.
"Parvis" is a square where you can have drinks, eat, watch the football in summer.
"Parc de Forest" is a nice big green area just at the end of our street. "Duden Parc" is a small forest just after this parc. You can get there walking 20 minutes or with the bus 48.
The city Hall is very nice to see, at 10 minutes walk. There is a market there on Mondays afternoon and evening where you can eat and have a drink. @Place Van Meenen
A few minutes walk from out place, there is a very good bakery where you can also get soup and tasty fresh sandwiches (Boulangerie Marlière) and 3 good restaurants that I highly recommend: Hibiscus, Aldeia Velha and Taverne du Parc.
We are also at a few minutes walk from Place Bethléem, known for its Greek restaurants.
All in all Saint-Gilles is a very lively area.
Check my guide on my page to find a few recommendations about where to eat in our neighbourhood.
The closest stops are:
Bus: Serbie (bus 48) to the center or to the train sation On Sundays use stop Rochefort.
Tram: Bethleem (tram 81)
Metro: Porte de Hal
Train: Southrailway Station (Midi)
