If you are in North Carolina for the hiking, then this location is excellent. It was a 6-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and you turn left for the Blue Ridge mountains and right for the Smokies. Hundreds of excellent hikes were available within a 40-minute drive on all points of the compass. The house was in a peaceful location just up from Maggie Valley town, a great combination of privacy and access to amenities. There were small mountain towns in all directions, and we managed to combine hikes with visiting small towns and excellent breweries. The house itself was exactly as advertised and was modern, clean, and cozy. The garden is lovely, and we spent several afternoons sitting on the terrace in the afternoon sun overlooking the mountains. The projector TV is excellent in the evening and we re-watched old movies which were amazing on the cnema-like screen and sound system. Lucian is an excellent host and very responsive. A highly recommended Airbnb. Thank you.
Lucian has created an incredibly peaceful and cozy environment in a very beautiful space. My family of 3 couldn’t get enough of our time in his modern, mountainside villa. From check in, to check out, Lucian was communicative and helpful, providing instructions and recommendations. 10/10 would recommend.
