Escape to the countryside and relax in this cozy eco farm cottage. Located on a working farm, this peaceful retreat is perfect for couples or families looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Enjoy solar-powered living with NO LOADSHEDDING and clean borehole drinking water. There is plenty of space for kids and parents to ride their bicycles (NEW Bike Park and Bike Track infront of cottage). Enjoy a quiet evening around the fire or take in the bushveld view from the stoep. The cottage consists of two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has two single beds. There is another bathroom also with a shower. There is an open plan kitchen with a living space that walks out an a patio/stoep. Free standing braai and fire pit provide lovely evenings under the stars.

The location was perfect for unwinding. Surrounded by nature, the farm teemed with birdlife, creating a peaceful and picturesque atmosphere. Our hosts were fantastic, incredibly welcoming, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The kids absolutely loved exploring the outdoors. The farm offered plenty of space to run around, and the bike arena was a huge hit, keeping them entertained for hours.We will be back for more fun and adventures soon.

An absolutely lovely location with an abundance of bird life. Our hosts were most helpful and accommodating. We felt right at home and lacked nothing. I will definitely stay here again, only longer next time.
You will have to go a long way to find and match the personalized care and finesse with which the cottage has been furnished and prepared. Cleaner you will not find. This is a place for those looking to find peace and solitude, to put the cellphones and car keys away and spend time with either yourself or friends/family. A weekend stay here results in perspective being rebooted, while the hosts proved flexible to adjust to our needs and sometimes even beyond that. Better value together with sincere and true South African hospitality will be hard to find .

Eco farm cottage is situated about 50km (40 min drive) from Rustenburg Waterfall Mall and 20km (20 min drive) from Swartruggens. The closest town is Swartruggens with a petrol station, supermarket, butchery, pharmacy and a few restaurants.
Sun City Resort is 60km (1 hour drive) from the Cottage. The stunning Pilanesberg National Park can be accessed from the Bakubung Gate that is also about an hour's drive (58 km). Certainly worth the trip.
For your convenience please bring along all food and necessities that you might need during your stay. Breakfast is available on request. First batch of firewood is provided. Extra available at additional cost.
There is a gravel road of around 5 kilometers from the main road to the farm cottage. Accessible with a small car, but can be slippery when wet.

Family time is the best. For me there’s not enough Christmas days in a year. I love spoiling people with good food and company. The “bushveld TV”… a boma fire under the starry sky with a Merlot, brings out the best in me.
