Our stay at Jacqueline's Barn was just what we needed. So suited to the Barossa and surrounds with old stone work and beautifully designed. The fireplace, art work and classic touches gave the home all the vibes to help relax and enjoy every minute. Thanks for the getaway.
The barn is a unique property in a good location about 15 mins drive from Barossa towns like Tanunda. It’s a great aesthetic but could do with a little TLC to justify the price. Jacqui was great, she gave us lots of personal recommendations for food and wine which were spot on.
I had a great stay at the barn & was sorry to leave Jaqueline’s little slice of Provence in the Barossa! Highly recommended
The barn and gardens are all beautiful and quirky, plenty of firewood provided and the place is bigger than you would think from the photos. A little disappointed with cleanliness, mainly dusty and cobwebs/critters on most of the downstairs furniture. Kitchen appliances were a little dirty, for example kettle was a bit gross inside, plates and cutlery had some old food stuck on, things like that. Provisions in the fridge were a very nice idea but the bread was stale and the eggs were unfortunately off, so we couldn’t use most if it. Using the shower completely floods the bathroom, and there are drips through the ceiling below, my partner had a little slip (no damage done!)
We stayed at the Barn for 2 nights for a girls weekend getaway. We chose the accommodation based on the look and feel of the place which reminded us of a fairytale cottage. It was complete with warm comfy beds, a fireplace and even a morning wakeup call from the chirping birds. We were pleased to have a well stocked fridge upon arrival with eggs, milk, bread, butter, jam and orange juice. The only recommendations for improvement is the option for a later checkout as 10am was a little too early. Also, the kitchen sink and shower floods the floors when used, which caused a slipping hazard. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Barn and had a really fun weekend in the Barossa.

Hi there, I'm an artist and business owner living in the Barossa Valley. I love characterful houses, homes and hospitality and I have three accommodations available in South Australia. I have a weakness for beautiful stone homes typical to South Australia, that have a European feel. I appreciate natural light, wooden floorboards, enhancing architectural features and preserving what works from the past whilst adding charm and modern comforts. I like my guests to feel they have a stylish home away from home. My renovations style is comfy French provincial with a touch of vintage and original artworks on the walls for a restful and inspiring stay. I travel a lot myself so I appreciate what it is to arrive to a place that feels like you can kick your shoes off, pour a wine and relax.
