This beautiful brick and flint cottage offers a peaceful retreat for those seeking a tranquil getaway. Nestled in a serene countryside setting, this cosy abode features traditional architecture and modern amenities. The property which dates back to the 1870s, is located in a quiet, secluded part of the village. Relax and unwind in this calm, stylish space that has recently been renovated, maintaining some of its original features and charm, while adding a touch of luxury. You enter the property into the cosy living room, where you will find a log burning stove and comfy seating (sofa and two vintage armchairs)). The dining/kitchen areas are spacious and well equipped. There is a dining table that seats 4 (or more), a dishwasher, washing machine, and fridge/freezer. Patio doors lead to the rear garden. Upstairs, there are two large bedrooms with cast iron beds, plump pillows, and luxurious bedding. Comfy mattresses and thickly lined curtains (or black out Velux blinds) encourage a good nights sleep! Each room has a hanging rail plus additional storage. There is a generous sized bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a bath tub, and a supply of thick fluffy towels. There are large gardens to the front and the rear of the property equipped with table and chairs for outside dining.

We had a wonderful time in Heather’s cottage. It was beautifully renovated, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking and sleeping well. Heather was the perfect balance of responsive host and leaving us to enjoy our stay. She gave us great recommendations for walks and dining. Ramsbury is a stunning village, in the midst of greenery, rivers and pathways. The Bell is a perfect pub, right in the middle of the village and a five minute walk from the cottage. We didn’t want to leave and will come again. Many thanks.
This is a lovely place. Very quiet and picturesque with a pub in walking distance. Really nice walk from doorstep that takes in beautiful countryside and fascinating history.
A beautiful cottage in an absolutely gorgeous area, 15 minute drive from a lovely high street Marlborough town. The house is located in a stunning quaint village with a few pubs and loads of walking spots with wetlands and animals galore. The bedroom is serene and the house has everything you need. It was completely immaculate! The front garden is in the sun mid afternoon through to evening for a glass of wine on the patio which was a bonus!
Heather was an incredible, kind and generous host! She made everything from booking to checkin as seamless as possible with her quick responses, and with a great host, comes a great cottage! The cottage is beautiful, modern yet homely. Not a single spec of dust as that's how clean it was!! Comfy beds, towels, fully equipped kitchen and she even left tea/milk/biscuits/chocolate/kindling which was super sweet! The location is perfect for a quiet cosy getaway, with a cute little garden. We even fed the birds in the bird stand ! As soon as I walked through the door, I told all my friends as I couldn't recommend this cottage enough! I've travelled to 31 countries so far and Heather's AirBnB was definitely one of the nicest places I've stayed in as everything was perfect! Thank you for everything Heather!! Will definitely stay again and this time for a lot longer! x x

The cottage is located in the heart of the picturesque village of Ramsbury. The village benefits from various shops, and two pubs within walking distance. The River Kennet runs through the village, which is an area of outstanding beauty.
Ramsbury is also a pre-medieval village steeped in history and tradition. There are several books that has been written about the village, its inhabitants, and its part during the Second World War. The spectacular site of the Littlecote Roman Villa is even in its parish.
The cottage is bright and spacious, and has recently been extensively renovated throughout. It is located on a quiet lane with its own large front and rear garden.
The village is roughly 5 miles from Marlborough and Hungerford, with easy access to M4 motorway and rail services to London.
Parking is roadside at the top or bottom of the of the street.

I visited Ramsbury for a week, 29 years ago...and moved there 3 weeks later...its a special place!! My husband (Ramsbury born and bred), and I have recently finished renovating the cottage, much of the works done by ourselves - check out @ramsburyrenovation to see the before and afters!! We live in the neighbouring village of Axford with our 2 grown up kids, and 4 rescue dogs!
