At our King Bed Suite you will first arrive to a beautiful and bright modernly decorated lobby with vaulted ceilings and be greeted by a professional and smiling concierge who will let you up to the floor so you can enjoy the downtown views of Oslo in a luxurious private apartment. From this central accommodation, the whole group has easy access to whatever it may be. - NATURE: Take the ferry out to the islands! Really beautiful! I like Gressholmen, Hovedøya, you can camp at Langøyene. There are also beaches at Malmøya, Ulvøya, Bygdøy, Paradisbukta, you can take the bus to here. The 12-tram goes directly to Kjelsås, and from there you can go into the woods for a hike. Botanical gardens is nice, Vigelandsparken, Middelalderparken. The best is always to walk around and discover the city with your intuition!.

Alex was a great host. I was delayed and arrived late, so Alex made arrangements for getting the key. The check in was easy thanks to good communication from him. Plus, he quickly replied to any messages or queries I had. Strongly recommend!
The description of the room and location is exaggerated. This is by no means a luxury apartment with a concierge. It has good connections to trains, buses, and trams (the same is true across Oslo). The room temperature was okay, and the bathroom didn't smell. The common kitchens are sanitary and safety hazards (in one week and a half, I experienced two events to substantiate this and I didn't even use the common kitchens). Don't count on having a kitchen while staying here. The apartment had a very bad smell (the scented sticks will not help with that; they make things worse), poor lighting, an uncomfortable lumpy mattress, and it needed a deep cleaning. I booked for 2.5 weeks, but I had to cut my stay by more than one week due to very poor conditions. I recommend paying attention to the room you are booking. The host has two apartments in the building, and you might end up (like myself) in the wrong apartment. That "cost" me two days of exchanging pictures before being moved.
Alex is a warm and welcoming host, that has been available from the booking to the checkout! He kindly allowed us to check in earlier and gave us a lot of nice recommendations around the place, that helped us greatly during the first day! The place itself is ideal, with a lot of shops, grocery stores and bars around, and very nicely connected to Oslo S by both tramway and subway. The bed was comfy, the TV ideally disposed, and the neighbors very quiet. If you are in Oslo for a few days and don’t want to overspend on fancy hotels, this is the place you need :) 10/10 would recommend (and come back!)

Once you wake up in the heart of Majorsteun area you can start your day with exploring the Myra Vendeplass / Myraløkka to listen to the river. There is Torshovparken and Torshovdalen. And Eplehagen by Torshov Kirkepark. Iladalen is also nice, and the old street Maridalsveien next to it is cozy too. And also if you just follow the street down from the apartment, you will get to Grünerløkka
- Nice bars here: Albatross, Bruun Larsen, Lasarett, Mysterud
- Places to eat: Caminito is a nice italian place, Grisen, Ugress for vegan burgers, Tyrens Torshov (bistro food), Masala Curry (haven’t tried it yet, Gruten (they grow organic oyster mushrooms which is the best! you need to place an order before hand, and they open only thursdays)
Caffè Inferno for authentic italian lunch and coffee, it lies next to Villa Paradiso (pizza place) - this square is a bit hidden and secret which I like.
- Other cafés: Trikkestallen café, Baker Hansen, Kaffebrenneriet.
- Shows/Theatre: Soria Moria is a great venue.
TIPS FOR CLUBS IN OSLO
Depends on what mood or music you like. These are places I go to when they have an event with techno/house music. It’s also a long time since I’ve been out in Oslo, so probably many other good new places around.
