We felt right at home upon arrival. The host was quick to respond when needed and had the taxi set up at the airport for us. The beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything available. Be prepared for steep hills and sharp turns throughout the island. The jeep is perfect for the terrain. The location is great if you are looking for a secluded area but still close to Hull and Magens Bay.

First, the house is in a great spot, and the space is nice. Hull Bay is walkable, as is Fish Town. The car is also a great perk, and although it’s an island car, it worked out great. That said, the house had some maintenance issues that made our relatively short stay pretty difficult. The house manager was responsive, but the issues were persistent. There were some serious electrical issues, including a ground fault that would shut off the kitchen (and fridge) regularly. There was also a switch in the bathroom that gave a mean electric shock. There was an AC issue, too, which was solved eventually. The AC in one of the bedrooms is a portable, and doesn’t cool great. The bathroom has a strange motion detection light bulb that makes using the bathroom at night difficult (light switches off when you’re in the shower, for example). There’s also a persistent septic smell - but that could be from an adjacent property. All in all, a great spot, but not sure I’d stay again.

When I think “tropical bungalow,” this place is pretty much exactly that. Such a chill island vibe. Big shoutout to Christie, who went out of her way to make my stay great. I got myself stuck somewhere taxis don’t really go before checkin, and she wound up coming to pick me up herself. The Jeep’s battery was also dead when I got there, and she arranged to get me a jump and got the battery replaced the very next morning. What could have turned out to be pretty stressful situations wound up being fixed straight away because that’s just how Christie rolls. The apartment is spacious, and the views of Hull Bay from the deck and the indoor dining are absolutely stunning. Having the Jeep is a great plus as well, though try to avoid red lights if you can as the A/C is busted (but a great excuse to take the roof off and go full Jeep!). It does get pretty toasty indoors during the day, even with the pretty constant sea breeze, but the bedrooms have A/C.
