Choice of firm and soft pillows. Dining facilities for four, so feel free to entertain your local family or friends - no raves / parties or children. With views on one side of horses in an iron-age site (a great spot to enjoy your coffee in the morning sun at the outdoor breakfast table (parasol in shower room cupboard), with wild blackberries to pick in season) and a private outdoor lounging room with mood set lighting. On the other side is a large deck with bistro table and chairs, solar LED Bluetooth (music connectable) parasol (please leave down when not present due to risk of wind blowing over the table) and sun recliners; with garden view and a sunny aspect to relax and enjoy your afternoon and watch gorgeous sunsets in the evening and listen to the wildlife including our local graceful big birds, the Red Kite, and at night the calls of owls and foxes, amongst many other species. Off-road walks / runs through fields, alongside the iron-age site and woods locally (you might spot a badger family) and further afield. It’s a popular area for off-road and on-road cycling, so bring your bikes (no e-bikes please). Within walking distance of the traditional White Hart pub (see guidebook) and the film studios at Bovingdon studios. A five minute drive to local shops including post office in Bovingdon village and a fifteen minute drive to historic Berkhamsted with a good selection of coffee houses, bars, pubs, restaurants and shopping.
