Our cozy cottage by the creekside is a perfect place to relax & be a base for the nearby attractions. One minute off the interstate, it' a convenient location to Appalachian Trail, Pipestem, Hatfield & McCoy Trail & National Forest. A three-bedroom cottage has plenty of room for you and your family. Child friendly with a playroom, a large living room with games, movies, and a TV to access your favorite apps (HULU is free to guests), and a fully stock kitchen to enjoy meals. The cottage is behind a school and right off the interstate. With plenty of room for multiple cars and even a moving van. There is a white garage by the property, extra trash is place inside the building and you can park close to it for an automatic light to make it easier to see at night. Please be aware that the interstate will be heard from the front porch. The neighbors have some dogs, and if its noisy please call us, we can call them and deal with the noise. The large privacy fence is between the two properties to avoid issues. The house is small but spacious for a small family. You will find everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We strive to provide you a nice, clean homey place for your stay. We are in a rural area, so food and entertainment are a drive away. There are many things to do and for more ideas I have provided a very informative Welcome Book full of things and places to try within a few hours of the house. The rooms and bathroom are small, but comfortable. Only one has a small closet. If you want to stay for an overnight stay or even a weekend, this place can be accommodating.

It was perfect for our large family for overnight ! Comfortable beds slept great ! Toy room for kids was so nice peaceful played games ! Very very clean and the host was super responsive and very accommodating! She was kind and made up the sleeper for our late arrival with our 5 children ! Clean and comfortable and little country cottage ! With family in area we will stay again !
I stayed at Carolina's cottage for a writers' conference right across the WV border with a few author friends (all young women). We absolutely loved it! This is a cozy and simple little cottage; exactly as described. Carolina is such a wonderful host - she was very friendly and helpful with making sure we were set with our stay. We never felt unsure of anything...she gave us everything we needed and was extremely responsive. I highly recommend this Airbnb along with any of Carolina/John's rentals!
Cozy place to stay. It was just what we needed after a full day of travel. The kids enjoyed the toys and playroom. The host communicated very well.
It is worth the money but don’t expect anything more than a simple clean place
This was a perfect stopping point between NE Ohio and OBX. Host was understanding of our late arrival. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash was a nice added touch in the bathroom and I didn't have to unpack what we brought. very quiet and relaxing although it was close to the highway. Couldn't have been better.

In a little neighborhood, behind the local high school. The school has basketball court and children playground, two minutes walking across the bridge and its open for the public after school hours during academic year- summer, its open all very round.
Private parking area for three cars and parking across the bridge at the school after school hours, for additional parking.

Hello Everyone, I was a military wife for twenty years, now we are retired to his hometown wanted to share to others what a great place to stay is Rocky Gap, VA. I love to travel and explore new areas, the more historical the better. I love to eat great food or make it. The outdoors is my relaxing place, especially if you add water to it. My kid's laughter is the best noise, a good date is cuddling under a blanket on the couch watching a movie.
