This amazing 1904 Victorian is located in the historic district of Hot Springs, minutes from Bathhouse Row, restaurants, bars, spas, Magic Springs, Oaklawn, hiking/biking trails, go-karting. Huge rooms, chandeliers, high ceilings, fully stocked kitchen, covered porch, rocking chairs and fire pit -- all on an acre of oak trees in a fenced yard, right in town! This is a one-of-a-kind house, where you can experience all the old world charm Hot Springs has to offer. See the reviews for more! This classic Victorian is all yours to enjoy during your visit to Hot Springs! There's nothing cookie-cutter about this masterpiece with lots of old world charm. Enjoy crystal chandeliers, mahogany trim, transom windows and lofty high ceilings, two huge bedrooms, a large living room, Smart TV, a fully stocked kitchen, spacious dining area, a full bathroom with original wainscoting. There's even a second, cozy seating area in the foyer that's perfect for stretching out to read a book, or for having a morning chat with friends. Or sit on the wonderful covered porch and have your morning coffee in one of the rocking chairs while enjoying the birds, squirrels and occasional deer that live on the property. The house sits on a fenced acre of towering oaks, within walking distance of a cute coffee shop and the new hiking/biking trails that begin at the end of the block. The first floor is over 2000 sq. feet and each bedroom even has its own couch, huge windows, lots of light and is surrounded by trees. Bathhouse Row is less than a mile away, where you can find spas, restaurants, breweries and fun activities. Magic Springs Amusement Park is only a five minute drive away. The Gulpha Gorge hiking trails and river are right across the main road (Park Ave), which lead to a beautiful vista. It's only a ten minute drive to Oaklawn Race Track and Casino. Fifteen minutes to Garvan Woodland Gardens and Lake Hamilton. (The upstairs part of the house will stay locked off -- it has four additional bedrooms which can be rented for larger groups, family reunions, girls weekends and more. Contact me if you would like to bring a large group!) I use 100 % cotton linens and you will literally have everything you need to have a wonderful stay. I've been a host in Hot Springs for over seven years and you can trust me to make your stay enjoyable. FYI Hot Springs ordinances prohibit any LARGE PARTIES. this stay was amazing! The house had so many unique photos and lamps, and beautiful stained glass! There was so much to see and it felt like these were all personal touches. The rooms were so spacious and comfortable and we loved sitting on the porch! Got to enjoy a beautiful rainstorm in the privacy and comfort of this porch as well. A perfect stay for a couple people or a bigger group. We loved it!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Howe House. The house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy the national park surroundings. The house has so much space, and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you would ever need! we absolute loved the large porch and had neighborhood kitties come visit us often. The house decor was joyful and welcoming. It was close to the bath houses and restaurants - but still secluded enough that you could get away from it all and enjoy the neighborhood/local feel. I would stay here again any time!
this is a super peaceful, quiet place located a few minutes (like 2) from Bath house Row and all the activities. The house us very cool and has a great vibe. We loved the style of it and will definitely be back!
I can't thank her enough. I faced a dilemma in finding a place @ the last minute. The original Airbnb I booked was nothing like shown in their advertisement. I checked out after spending just 1 day on a original reservation of 5 nights in previous Airbnb. I moved to a hotel on a very busy weekend in Hot Springs. So, hotels were full or near full & at a premium. Arlene's Airbnb was already occupied for the night I left previous Airbnb. I looked and saw it was available the next day for the remaining 3 nights of my trip. I registered at Arlene's Airbnb to occupy for the remainder of my pleasure trip in Hot Springs Arkansas which was another 3 nights. She responded quickly to my registration and gave all information needed to check in. The house was beautiful, CLEAN, decorated and warm. My last 3 days of my stay in Hot Springs was MARVELOUS thanks to Arlene and her amazing Airbnb. Location was perfect and convenient. She turned a nightmare into a dream. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Airbnb
This Victorian house was just as described…old, roomy, charming and filled with interesting antiques. The location was close to restaurants and attractions, while the wooded lot made it feel a bit secluded. We enjoyed our stay there.

The historic home is in the Uptown area of Hot Springs National Park, a collection of single-family houses ranging from mansions to cute motor courts and older apartments. It's just north of Bathhouse Row, less than a mile from the Arlington Hotel, the Hot Springs Welcome Center, spas, boutiques, coffee shops, stores. This neighborhood is quickly changing and becoming a hub for visitors, and there are hiking/biking trails on the end of the street -- right outside the front door. This house is also close to Gulpha Gorge hiking trails, Magic Springs Water Park, crystal mining, restaurants, go-karting, bars. About an hour plus drive from Diamond Crater State Park. Easy street parking. This huge house is on a private fenced acre and a half of old oak trees, which insulates it from the streets, so it stays very peaceful and serene.
A car is always best! Free parking in front of the house, free parking in town.

I'm a writer and a mom, originally from North Carolina, who loves animals and traveling. I lived in Taiwan for three years (dance and performance art) and spent time New York, Seattle and Paris. I've backpacked through Bolivia and Peru, and I love to meet new people. I also love movies (went to USC film school). I have a teenager and a third grader, and now we are a big soccer family, so we travel to tournaments all over the world. Hot Springs is our new home away from home when we aren't living in LA.
