Ardgroom is a lovely little village, with a shop and a nice pub and a lot of calm and relaxation in a stunning area. The house itself is spacious with enough bathrooms and a good kitchen. It' s clean at first sight, but overall needs in my opinion some thorough dusting, airing and wiping and new carpets...the larger bedrooms unfortunately smell a bit dingy and windows only open about an inch or two...the house could need some home improvement. Although in in the descrition, in case someone overreads it like I did, heating and energy costs are not included.

Ardgroom is cute little village and this a great spot to explore the Beara peninsula. Quiet neighborhood and this bedroom place has enough room for a big group (though we were just two couples).

We were warmly welcomed to Xavier's home by Sharon. It was everything portrayed and more. We were literally in our own home with all the items we needed after leaving our home in Wisconsin. It was a most enjoyable month. I would highly recommend this to anyone. We left friends in Ardgroom. They were more than hosts. Thank you, Sharon and Xavier, for everything, and we hope to see you in the future. Mike and Colleen Sullivan

The house is very clean and spaceous, three bedrooms upstairs with comfortable beds and huge living room with kitchen downstairs. We absolutely loved this quiet place in the middle of Beara ring, it was really nice to have an opprtunity to walk to the coast or to the lake (2 km from the house). Sharon was helpful and attentive, was nice to know that she lives next door, so we could reach her easily. Local shop is not very big, so if you want something special remember to buy some food on your way to the house in Kenmara or Castletown-Bearhaven. Very good place for families with kids or for getaway weekend.

Great house - safe location for children - plenty of space to play outside. Very convenient to the village - a two minute walk to the shop.
