Welcome to the largest fresh water beach in the world! Our home is located on a private beach in Batchawana Bay, boasting 170 feet of PRIVATE sand beach frontage with warmer waters located in a protected inlet. With all the luxuries of home, but on an acre lot of bush and beach! Wether you like to hike, kayak, or relax in our hammock, it’s all here! Just a short drive to 2 provincial parks, Chippewa waterfalls, Robertsons cliff, Agawa pictographs and Voyager restaurant & convenience store. The home has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room and bathroom. The master bedroom has a king bed, large closet and a dresser for lots of storage space. A pack and play is available in the closet for those traveling with an infant. Second bedroom has a twin bed as well as s bunk bed that has a twin on top, full on bottom and a twin size trundle underneath. The bunk bed steps are also used for storage of clothing and more linens. The living room has many lounging options including 2 couches (one pulls out into a queen bed), a reclining chair and sofa chair. There is a large TV with movies provided and Wi-Fi for movie streaming. The dining room has a table that sits 6, another lounge area with couches that look out to the beach. The kitchen has a fridge, oven, dishwasher (dishwasher soap provided), washer & dryer (detergent provided), microwave, toaster, drip coffee machine, Keurig and an air fryer! Includes dishes, cutlery, cookware and paper towels. Also a high chair upon request is available for those with infants. We also provide paper towels Bathroom has a bathtub with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. The spacious porch is furnished throughout for many forms of entertainment. Outdoor dining table that sits 6 covered by a large umbrella, 2 egg chairs, a bar cart, and 2 rocking chairs to enjoy the sunsets in. The 170 feet of private beach front has 6 lounge chairs, picnic table with seating for 5 under a large umbrella, 6 Adirondack chairs and a bench to sit by the fire pit at night (s’mores kit and sticks provided). The water tends to be warmer and calmer in our bay due to it being in a protected inlet! On the opposite side of the beach is where we keep our 3 kayaks and paddles that are for guest use (lifejackets located inside the deck box by the porch available for guest use). Our home is close to many Lake Superior attractions including 2 provincial parks (Pancake bay and lake superior provincial park), Alona bay scenic look out where you can find many rare rocks, Agawa bay pictographs, hike Robertsons cliff and see the famous Fitzgerald lookout, climb the Chippewa waterfalls and admire Batchawana Island right from our loungers! Tesla charging stations are available 2 minutes down the road for those with electric vehicles. Conveniently Located at The Voyageur cookhouse and convenient store.
